On September 1, 2025, the remains of a woman were discovered in the Mount Hood National Forest. Someone reported finding a body on Forest Service Road 45 near South Hillock Road.
After an autopsy was performed, police officers shared that the victim was identified as 38-year-old Jennifer Ruth Stuart, and the cause of death was homicide. But the investigation didn’t have many leads aside from truck tracks.
The woman was believed to be homeless, and locals in the area were concerned that her body was found so far away from the downtown areas she frequented.
Finally, there was a lucky break in the case as detectives found a suspicious truck. It’s unclear where the 2002 red and grey Chevrolet Avalanche was located. However, the Chevy truck was used in the murder.
Officers arrested 56-year-old William Glen Blake on suspicion of killing his girlfriend, Stuart. According to KOIN, he faces charges for murder, second-degree abuse of a corpse, unlawful use of a weapon, and tampering with evidence.
Blake’s 15-year-old son was also arrested. He allegedly helped dispose of Stuwar’s remains and faces charges for second-degree abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. Also, Blake’s 17-year-old son was interviewed, but hasn’t been charged.
Investigators believe that Blake and Stuart had an argument at Blake’s home in Oregon City when things took a deadly turn.
