The only Jeep SUV with positive sales is the last one you would expect
Today it’s time to celebrate one Jeep SUV for going against the trend of delving sales. Stellantis has been working to turn things around as the Jeep Wrangler, Ram 1500, and other popular models struggle. But the Jeep model with improving numbers is surprising.
The only Jeep SUV with positive sales is the Jeep Compass
Congratulations to the Jeep Compass for being the first Jeep SUV to turn things around for Stellantis. Hopefully, the Jeep Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, and Wagoneer can follow in its tracks.
The Compass is the smallest model in the lineup and it’s also the most affordable option. It has an MSRP of $26,900 while the Wrangler starts at $32,095.
In 2024, the Compass moved 111,697 SUVs. It has a 16% sales increase compared to 2024. During the first quarter of 2025, Jeep sold 31,730 Compass SUVs. That’s a 15% increase compared to the first quarter of 2024.
According to Top Speed, the Jeep brand experienced a sales decrease of 9% in 2024 compared to 2023. Sales also declined by 10% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
The tiny, but mighty Compass is outselling the Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and Gladiator combined. I attribute some of the Compass’s success to the Jeep Renegade being discontinued.
Also, things are subject to change for this Jeep SUV. The Compass is assembled in Mexico with engines that are imported from Italy. Tariffs could cause prices to rise.
The next Compass is expected to be a larger hybrid. I feel like that could make prices rise as well. It will be made in Canada. So, hopefully, the Compass can hold on.
