One Direction star Liam Payne leaves behind a Harry Potter car and an epic collection
Much to the heartbreak of millions of his fans, Liam Payne of One Direction recently passed away in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At 31, the superstar’s passing is a prime example of an untimely death. However, during his short life, the British celebrity amassed quite a collection of world-class cars. In fact, Payne was such a Harry Potter fan that he had to add the franchise Ford to his garage.
One Direction’s Liam Payne collected a serious stable of cool cars, from a Harry Potter Ford Anglia to a Lamborghini Aventador
Liam Payne, along with the other members of “One Direction,” was one of the most radio-playable artists in the world in 2011. As a result, Payne was able to stock his collection with the cars that he loved, like a screen-favorite member of the “Harry Potter” franchise.
- Ford Anglia 105E
- Lamborghini Aventador
- Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder
- MINI Cooper S
- Cadillac Escalade
According to Lookers, Liam Payne was such a die-hard fan of Harry Potter that he bought a 1960 Ford Anglia 105E. Now, unless you know classic UK-spec Ford cars, that might not mean much to you. However, the Anglia was Arthur Weasley’s little blue flying car in the franchise. Payne regaled an interviewer with his choice to buy the little Ford.
“I bought the Harry Potter car and I put it in my garden. You know the blue car, the flying car? I bought one because I’m a bit of a geek.” I mean, can you blame the guy for buying the old Ford? I mean, how many people buy Aston Martins just to feel the slightest bit like James Bond?
In addition to his Ford Anglia, Liam Payn treated himself to a Lamborghini Aventador and a Gallardo Spyder, per The U.S. Sun. Each of the raging bulls couldn’t be further from the non-flying Ford tribute car. Of course, the little Anglia would probably look friendly beside Payne’s MINI Cooper S.
