Ohio men throw lumber from truck during police chase

Ohio police officers tried to make a traffic stop when they spotted a white truck without visible registration plates. But the driver decided to flee and led a high-speed chase. The incident occurred on Interstate 75 in Moraine.

During the pursuit, police officers deployed stop sticks in an attempt to stop the driver. They deflated their truck’s tires, but the suspects kept going.

Video captured a man in the back of the single cab pickup throwing large wooden boards at law enforcement vehicles on the highway. Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers swerved around traffic to avoid being struck.

Then the driver decided to cross the median and enter lanes of oncoming traffic, but that plan didn’t go well. The suspect immediately hit a car head-on and caused a six-car pileup.

Four men exited the truck to try and escape on foot. However, pursuing police officers quickly tackled them. According to WLWT, their charges may include drug possession and aggravated vehicular assault.

A few drivers and passengers involved in the six-car crash were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The man riding in the back of the truck is lucky to be alive. He could have easily been ejected during the initial collision.
