Nutmobile Could Be The Best Car Job for A Non-Car Person

We all know and love the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, but there are only so many of them to go around. But there is another theme vehicle that is now looking for drivers. It’s called the Planters Nutmobile truck (or whatever you call it) and this could be the best car job for a non-car person …

We all know and love the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, but there are only so many of them to go around. But there is another theme vehicle that is now looking for drivers. It’s called the Planters Nutmobile truck (or whatever you call it) and this could be the best car job for a non-car person ever. It’s a great position to test your people- and driving-skills in one wad.

Did you even know there was a Planters Nutmobile?

Did you even know there was a Planters Nutmobile? Neither did we, but it is almost as cool as the Wienermobile in a nutty sort of way. Conceived in 1935, it is 26-feet long. We’d like to say it runs on peanut oil but alas, it has not been converted to that biofuel.

So, what does one do besides drive a 26-foot long hot peanut? Obviously, you would be representing the company, so no fooling around. You would be part of a three-Peanutter team. You’ll take turns as a driver, but also as Mr. Peanut himself. You will appear in public and do volunteer work on occasion for food banks. So you’ll have fun, learn some PR firsthand, and get to say you drove the Nutmobile. Just think of what an icebreaker that would be at a bar? “Hey, I like your hair. Did you know I was once a Peanutter and drove the Nutmobile?”

Becoming a Peanutter, as they are called, is a one-year position. Planters take recent college grads and give them a taste of first-hand public relations. The position doesn’t require you to have graduated with a 4.0 GPA or anything. As a side note, Oscar Mayer does require a 3.0 GPA as one of the qualifications for driving the Wienermobile.

Did you know that both Oscar Mayer and Planters are owned by the same company? Heinz; as in the 57 flavors peeps, owns them both. So you’re not in competition with the Hotdoggers so much as you’re all together in the theme food parade.

Applying at this portal before mid-February gets your foot in the door. Why not go for it? From the images we’ve seen, it looks like there are a number of Nutmobiles, so Planters is probably looking for a gang of Peanutters now that COVID vaccines are happening. We might actually get to have some gatherings in 2021 after all. You and the Nutmobile will add a lot to those festivities.
