Not a single Jeep is on the list of best cars for families

I feel like Jeep SUVs might be better family options than you think. However, some critics disagree. Not a single model made it on the list of the 12 Best Family Cars of 2025. But Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, Toyota, and Chevrolet got represented.
Not a single Jeep ranks as being the best SUV for families
According to Kelley Blue Book, not a single Jeep SUV ranks as being one of the best options for families. On its list of the 12 Best Family Cars of 2025, you see options like the Chevrolet Tahoe, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Telluride, and Toyota Sienna.
The rankings are based on safety, value, reliability, driving experience, comfort, convenience, cargo capacity, and child seats. Plus, the team drives these vehicles with their kids who range from teens to toddlers.
However, did Jeep get black balled? Sure, there isn’t an off-roading mini-van, but the brand has made massive improvements in the family space. For example, the Jeep Wrangler gained a second row.
The Grand Cherokee L offers a third row without being a massive, inconvenient tank to drive. But if tanks are your thing, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer offer plenty of space and comfort.
While the Jeep Compass is a compact, affordable option for smaller families, it has a reliability score of 81 out of 100 from J.D. Power. That’s great!
Sure, the Wrangler doesn’t have the best reputation for safety. However, the Grand Cherokee is an Insurance Institute Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick! If your family likes to adventure, then a Jeep could be the perfect fit.
