The 2021 Audi e-tron is not only one of the top-rated luxury SUVs on the U.S. News list, but it’s also highly versatile. You can get the standard body style or a Sportback model. However, whatever you choose, the cabin offers a premium experience.

The interior is insulated against external sound and is wonderfully quiet if you want it to be. Even at highway speeds, the ride is quite tranquil, according to U.S. News. Or, if you prefer, there’s an infotainment system with dual touch screens that’s incredibly easy to use. 

The cabin’s vibe is upscale and refined. It offers two rows of comfortable space with plenty of room. The front seats are even comfier than those in the back. The Audi e-tron’s interior also offers quad-zone automatic climate control with Audi’s popular Virtual Cockpit digital gauge cluster. There’s a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, and a panoramic sunroof.

Audi e-tron trims and pricing

There are three available trim levels with the 2021 Audi e-tron: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige. All trims come with the same electric powertrain featuring two electric motors, a lithium-ion battery pack, and all-wheel drive.

The base model Premium is available in both standard and Sportback body styles. It offers more than enough standard comfort and safety features to make most buyers very happy. The e-tron Premium costs just under $70,000.

Audi e-tron Premium models have good tech, including the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, 8.6- or 10.1-inch touch screens, and two USB ports. You also get Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto along with Bluetooth, HD radio, navigation, and satellite radio. The front seats are heated and power-adjustable, and there’s a hands-free power liftgate. It offers proximity keyless entry and an adaptable air suspension,

As for safety features, the Premium trim hash blind-spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear cross-traffic alert system for safety as standard. Additional standard features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure alerts, and LED headlights with auto high beams.

Premium Plus models cost under $80,000. The trim level adds a Bang & Olufsen audio system, wireless device charging, and a surround-view camera system for parking.  The front seats are ventilated, the rear seats are heated, and charging ports are on both driver and passenger sides. You also get adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and road sign recognition.

The top-shelf Prestige models range from $79,000 to $83,000 depending on optional add-on features and packages. The trim level adds massaging front seats, perforated leather upholstery, and a head-up display. There are also rear sunshades and power closing doors.

Luxurious performance to top it off

The 2021 Audi e-tron, as you’d expect, offers dynamic performance. A 95-kWh battery pack powers the two electric motors. One motor is positioned at the front wheels and one at the rear. The powertrain gets 355 horsepower with 404 lb-ft of torque. In short sprints, it can get up to 402 horsepower with 490 lb-ft of torque. 

It’s a smooth, quiet ride that can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds. You can change lanes and accelerate to pass other vehicles with ease. It’s a dream to drive whether you’re in stop-and-go traffic or cruising on the freeway. The Audi e-tron has more than earned its place on the U.S. News list of the “22 Most Luxurious SUVs for 2021”.
