If you attach the 1LE track package to the ZL1 name, you’ve got the Camaro that made European automakers leave Nürburgring with shaking heads at the amazing American performance on display.
Why is the Chevy Camaro ZL1 so awesome? Here are several reasons:
This Chevy Camaro is super aggressive
We dare you to find any view of this Chevrolet muscle car that doesn’t show off the pure, unadulterated aggression of the Camaro name. Even if this becomes the final gas-powered version, it’s a fitting tribute to what the Camaro name has meant for Chevy over several decades.
The ZL1 1LE adds a track package that delivers more aggression and performance. This package brings a larger splitter, spoiler, and diffuser adding a more menacing appearance to an already sinister muscle car. This package also brings a black hood, a revised front bumper, and visible carbon fiber for the aerodynamic parts.
The ZL1’s power is properly harnessed
What good does it do if you can’t take massive power around the track and beat other cars? The Chevy Camaro ZL1 has 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque going to the rear wheels via either a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain isn’t the story, though.
The Camaro ZL1 has less power than the Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye and Ford Shelby Mustang GT500, but the Chevy is faster around the track. This on-track performance brought awe to the faces of Europeans in attendance at Nürburgring when this amazing Camaro ran its record-setting lap.
This muscle car enjoys amazing control in the corners thanks to the wider fenders and tires, along with the Magnetic Ride suspension package. This suspension includes magnetorheological dampers with an electric current running through the fluid multiple times per second to continually adjust the ride.

In its regular garb, the Camaro ZL1 has plenty of power and is a good car on the road and track. Still, if you want more power, Hennessey gladly upgrades this car to 1,000 horsepower, allowing it to take the name, Exorcist. If your ZL1 has the 1LE package, it receives the name Resurrection. These two versions of the Camaro can be incredibly insane and downright awesome.
