After all the trouble we go through when buying a new vehicle, we ultimately will feel some level of apprehension when we think of the money we’ll spend on service visits for upkeep on our investments. Jaguar recognizes that and helps you feel more at ease for the first few years of ownership.

There are more automakers offering complementary service visits, but none of the other automakers have a program like Jaguar’s that even comes close. Cars.com gives us a list of some automakers who provide free service programs and shows us what each one offers.

What are the different types of maintenance programs automakers offer?

According to the list, several automakers offer the first one or two service visits for free, and you’re responsible for all the others after that. Some places, like Ram dealers, will take care of the first three visits for you, provided you get them in within the first two years of purchase.

Several brands offer the first three years or 36,000 miles as complementary to the owner. However, some of these plans come with specific stipulations. For example, BMW, one of the more expensive cars to own, covers three years of service, but only for the original buyer of the vehicle.

There are a few plans that offer this kind of program, but it’s only for certain models or trim levels. Alpha Romeo only honors one free service visit for the Giuliani sedan and the Stelvio SUV. Kia has a 37,500-mile program that’s only offered for its top trim Cadenza and its K900 sedans.

What does Jaguar offer?

When you buy a 2021 Jaguar, you will receive a special warranty plan to go along with it. Actually, the Elite Care plan covers all Jaguar vehicles that are 2016 and newer, no matter what model it is according to the company’s website

This special warranty deal includes its complimentary maintenance program, which allows you to service your vehicle, for free, for a designated amount of time. In this case, Jaguar offers free service at your local Jaguar dealer, for 5 years or 60,000 miles.

The program covers all factory-recommended scheduled maintenance visits like oil changes and filter replacements. Jaguar suggests that you get the vehicle into one of its local dealers for maintenance within one month or 1,000 miles of the recommended visit.

Why is Jaguar’s maintenance program so beneficial?

Jaguar has the longest service program on the automotive market, whereas some brands offer only one or two of these visits for free.

Jaguar’s offer stands out because it’s an expensive vehicle to own, not just because of the initial sticker price. Parts and labor costs can be extremely expensive, and so can basic service.

When you drop a lot of money on your Jaguar as an investment, you want to take good care of it. To help ease some of the costs you would incur, Jaguar offers to perform basic service tasks for free for a whole five years or for the first 60,000 miles.

Buying a Jaguar can be expensive, but it helps to know that the company will have your back when it comes to service. With five years or 60,000 miles of free service, you can feel more at ease making an investment in one of these luxury vehicles.
