The Nissan Rogue’s redesign has shocked consumers. The Rogue was once complacent in its vehicle class. Now, the 2021 Nissan Rogue is a contender for the best compact SUV of the year. Its Platinum trim includes so much tech that it’s practically a luxury SUV.

The Nissan Rogue’s redesign has reinvigorated the nameplate. The Rogue was once a drab compact SUV that was just sufficient enough to retain a small following. After the redesign the Nissan Rogue proved that it plans on shaking things up in its vehicle class.

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is much better than consumers expected. Its improvements are universally acknowledged. The new Nissan Rogue even earned a Consumer Reports recommendation. The base model Nissan Rogue S trim is great, but the real treasure lays within its highest trim, the Rogue Platinum.

Platinum is an even more precious metal than gold, and the Rogue Platinum is aptly named. It incorporated innovative tech features that most consumers wouldn’t expect from a Nissan, let alone a Nissan Rogue. The 2021 Nissan Rogue Platinum starts at $38,405. It is at least $10,665 more expensive than the base model but the Platinum brings major value.

The new 2021 Nissan Rogue Platinum trim includes an innovative Nissan Head-up Display that can show different features on the center of the Rogue Platinum’s windshield. The display can show information about the audio, Bluetooth and navigation features directly in front of the driver’s field of vision. It is customizable and can easily be turned on and off. The display’s position can also be adjusted.

The Nissan Rogue Platinum trim also features a Nissan Connect 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system (trim-exclusive size). It includes a Wi-Fi hotspot as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and standard Android Auto. The Platinum trim is the only trim that includes Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link. This semi-autonomous driving system allows adaptive cruise control that can also start and stop the vehicle.

The 2021 Nissan Rogue Platinum trim is the only Rogue trim that comes with Nissan’s Front, Rear, and Side Sonar System. It also exclusively offers Traffic Sign Recognition. The Platinum trim features a digital dash with fully digital gauges. The trim-exclusive Bose audio system is the icing on the cake.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue Platinum trim worth buying?

The 2021 Nissan Rogue Platinum trim includes tech that belongs in a Sci-Fi film. Nissan’s Head-up Display system is something consumers would expect from a luxury SUV, not a Nissan Rogue. The Nissan Rogue Platinum comes with plenty of driver assistance and safety features for its high price.

The Nissan Rogue Platinum’s semi-autonomous driving system proves that this trim is on a whole other level. The Platinum trim may cost almost as much as luxury SUV models but it’s got enough cool tech to justify its hefty price tag.
