We have excellent news for Ford Mustang fans. A seventh-generation Ford Mustang has been officially confirmed. We can’t contain all of our excitement in the stable! Check out what clues we have about the all-new Mustang.

The 2024 Ford Mustang will be brand new

Giddy up. The all-new S650 Ford Mustang has been confirmed. It was established for 2023, suggesting a new 2024 model. According to Muscle Cars and Trucks, it was approved for Australia.

However, we’re sure that the new Mustang will come to America. It’s still a very important part of the Ford lineup. The current model that was introduced in 2015 is incredibly popular. It’s never been discontinued since its debut in 1964.

Ali Jammoul, Ford Vehicle Director for Icons and Performance, shared that Ford is working on the next-generation Mustang right now, and it will be launching next year. It will be great with tons of events allowing people to drive it.

How much power will the new Mustang have?

The 2024 Ford Mustang may include the current 5.0-liter V8 engine with 450 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. The standard 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine with 310 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque might be dropped.

Rumors suggest that the manual transmission will bite the dust too. Its survival could be based on customer demand. Perhaps wheel-mounted paddle shifters will be available.

Jammoul explained that engine selection is crucial, and Ford seeks to provide customers with a wide selection of options. Still, they need to make the V8 engine more environmentally friendly to comply with regulations.

The V8 engine may be phased out as hybrid, and fully-electric powertrains are developed for their high-performance potential. The rumors about the new 6.8-liter V8 engine being built in Ontario have not been confirmed. Plus, fans wouldn’t be upset about the high-displacement Godzilla V8 engine.

Making the regular Mustang fully electric would be an interesting move because the Mach-E already exists. However, the electric Dodge Challenger could create tons of electric muscle-car competition.

What will the GT3 Mustang be like?

Some critics suggest that based on spy shots, the GT3 Ford Mustang won’t be a muscle car anymore. However, that’s only speculation. Hot Cars mentions that the new body for the 2024 model is similar to the current design.

The grille, headlights, and intake sit in a similar position which is different from the original Mustang muscle car design. However, isn’t the 2022 model still a muscle car? The new model could be a bit cleaner and less confident looking.

But this is only speculation. Ford could keep the Mustang true to its untamed roots. A hybrid powertrain could provide instant torque, and a new platform could improve its ride and handling. Plus, we wouldn’t be surprised if it efficiently gained more power.

We’re excited about the brand new interior as well. It could gain larger infotainment screens, a head-up display, enhanced digital gauge cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay, a larger panoramic moonroof, etc.

New updates could emerge soon, and we will keep an eye out for 2024 Ford Mustang updates. We can’t wait to see the new design.
