The Ford F-150 is the best-selling truck in America. That sentence has been true for so long that most people can’t remember a time when it wasn’t. As a result, it’s one of the most exciting things every year when new updates are released. Recently, we’ve learned about a few new things coming to the 2023 Ford F-150. A source claims the truck will get additional standard features not included with 2022 models.

According to Ford Authority, the 2023 Ford F-150 lineup will undergo multiple changes. Moreover, we already knew about things like a new model. However, further information about the base model F-150 gaining features is available. Furthermore, the entry-level F-150 XL will no longer have the 100A XL Equipment Group as an option. Instead, many of the same features from the package will become standard F-150 features.

Best of all, they’re excellent features most people would love to have in a base model truck. For example, cruise control, reverse sensing steering, power windows, power door locks, a power tailgate lock, illuminated entry, perimeter alarm, MyKey, and power glass side view mirrors with heat and black skull caps. As a result, the 101A Equipment Group is now available as the higher package for extra features. The 2023 Ford F-150 XL base model is the third trim to drop its base equipment group, joining the Raptor and Tremor.

How much is the new F-150?

Since America’s most popular truck is gaining standard equipment, the price has to go up. According to FA, buying an F-150 XL will cost a minimum of $2,080 more than it did last model year. Ford‘s website lists the 2022 F-150 XL at $31,520, meaning the 2023 will be at least $33,600. It’ll most likely cost a bit more than that as automakers tend to give models a slight price bump yearly. However, we’re confident the starting price will sit around the $33,500-$34,000 mark.

Fortunately, that’s not too expensive over the previous model year. This new standard equipment makes even the most basic version of the F-150 feel modern. Instead of archaic-feeling non-power windows and locks, standard features include essentials. Of course, even the F-150 XL is capable of almost anything other trims can do. Towing, hauling, and other truck activities are conquered easily.

In addition to new standard features, the 2023 F-150 lineup is changing. First, the off-road Rattler trim is coming, allowing the average person to buy a Raptor-like truck. It’s the same performance and off-road-ready pickup without the massive price tag. However, that’s not all, as the retro Heritage Edition and upgraded high-performance Raptor R also join the lineup.

There are also some severe engine changes for the 2023 F-150. For example, the Tremor trim now comes with a standard 5.0-liter V8 Coyote engine. In addition, the F-150 Limited dropped two-wheel drive and the 3.5-liter V7 EcoBoost for a PowerBoost hybrid and four-wheel drive. It’s an exciting time for F-150 fans, as the 2023 Ford pickup model is undergoing many changes.

New 2023 Ford F-150 just gained more standard features

In conclusion, the 2023 Ford F-150 has more standard features than last year. For the first time, buying a base model XL will get you much more. Ford’s pickup is stepping into the modern era with power locks, power windows, and much more as standard equipment. With it comes many other changes, like the new Rattler, engine swaps, and much more. Are you interested in buying the slightly more expensive 2023 Ford F-150 XL with its new standard features?
