Naked Driver Flees Devastating Hit-and-Run Crash in East Hollywood, Los Angeles

Los Angeles streets see a lot of wild things on a daily basis, but a recent hit-and-run took things to an entirely new, bizarre level. A horrifying crash in East Hollywood quickly turned into something surreal when the suspected at-fault driver fled the scene of the wreck completely naked.

The devastating incident took place on a Thursday near the busy intersection of Normandie and Santa Monica. According to bizarre new video footage obtained by local news outlets, a chaotic crash left multiple people suffering from injuries. However, the most shocking element of the footage is a naked man sprinting away from the wreckage, running right down the public street and bearing it all to the absolute shock of bystanders.

Police confirmed that the streaking suspect was actually driving one of the two vehicles involved in the collision.

While the suspect’s escape attempt was pretty eye-catching, the reality of the crash itself is incredibly serious. An eyewitness who was at the scene provided a chilling account of the events leading up to the crash and the driver’s getaway.

“He’s the one that caused the accident,” the witness told ABC7 . “He was going through a red light. He ran, ran out of the vehicle naked, he was on drugs, it looked like he was homeless”.

Suspect Arrested and Facing Major Charges

The reckless decision to blow through a red light had catastrophic consequences for other motorists on the road. Police confirmed that at least one person involved in the crash had to be transported to a local hospital, where they stay in critical condition.

Fortunately, the naked driver did not make it far down the road and was eventually tracked down and arrested by police at the scene. Authorities heavily suspect that the man was indeed under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the collision. The driver could face severe legal consequences, including major charges for felony hit-and-run and DUI.
