Another Florida man is being recognized for going wild. The murder suspect didn’t have time to put on a shirt during his crime spree. He stole a police car and used it to pull over a woman and steal her SUV during a high-speed chase.

Shirtless Florida man steals police car and civilian SUV

This wild story starts on a serious note. 52-year-old Armando Lopez allegedly tried to kill his 30-year-old ex-girlfriend during an argument.

According to the NY Post, glasses were being shattered and Lopez’s wife was being strangled as his daughter called 911 for help.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant, James Hager was already on the scene and was attacked. Lopez tried to take his gun and Hager tried to taser him. Both failed at those attempts.

Then Lopez jumped in his police car and sped off with the lights on. The Ford Explorer police inceptor was being driven erratically on the highway, at speeds over 100 mph.

He used the squad car to pull over a 46-year-old woman. She thought she was being pulled over by a real cop, but he stole her SUV.

A few moments later, he crashed the stolen SUV. It rolled over on the highway and Lopez got pinned under it. This is when officers could catch up and take him into custody.

His wife’s condition is unclear. However, Lopez is being held on multiple charges such as eluding law enforcement and impersonating a police officer. There is an ongoing investigation into the incident.
