How Much Does a Fully Loaded 2023 Volkswagen Arteon Cost?

Volkswagen has never been known as a luxury brand, but the Volkswagen Arteon is the brand’s current foray into the luxury vehicle market. Compared to VW’s other offerings, the VW Arteon is quite a costly ride at its base price, but the luxury sedan can get much more expensive at higher trims and with all the bells and whistles offered by VW.

Learn more about the 2023 VW Arteon, how much each trim costs, and the final price for a fully loaded version below.

The base 2023 Volkswagen Arteon

The 2023 Volkswagen Arteon is a beautiful, full-size sedan that combines a stylish exterior with a gorgeous and comfortable interior. It comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine capable of producing 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission. The base model only comes with front-wheel drive, but the reviewers at Car and Driver remark that it still gives a snappy performance.

On the inside, seating provides plenty of room for up to five travelers, and most people can sit comfortably in the front or back. Because the sedan is a hatchback of sorts, it’s also easy to fit everyone’s luggage inside, even when all the seats are full. You can even put down the back seats for even more carrying capacity.

The standard Arteon comes with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also features a heated steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls, heated front seats, and two USB ports. For safety features, the base Arteon comes with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts. The 2023 VW Arteon starts at $43,825.

The top trim 2023 VW Arteon

The highest trim package offered on the 2023 Volkswagen Arteon is the SEL Premium R-Line. According to Volkswagen, this trim upgrades the car’s exterior to a more sporty version with an upgraded front bumper and grille, a rear lip spoiler, and 20-inch tires. It comes standard with all-wheel drive and all-season tires.

Also built into the package is parking assist, remote start, an overhead view camera, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium audio system to make listening to your favorite music even better. The front seats have power lumbar support, and the driver’s seat offers a massage function. The rear seats are also heated, and everyone can be kept comfortable with a three-zone climate control system.

The top trim 2023 VW Arteon starts at $50,990, but there is plenty of room to add extra features.

If the Volkswagen Arteon SEL Premium R-Line trim doesn’t quite cut it for you, you can build your own version on the Volkswagen website. After choosing your interior and exterior colors, you can add numerous extra features to customize the car to your liking. Some premium features include a kayak holder attachment ($175), a crome protection plate to keep your bumper in good shape ($120), LED turn signals on the rearview mirrors ($265), and a universal tablet holder for those in the backseat ($115).

Some options are not necessarily practical, like the VW logo valve steam cap on your tires ($21) and the R logo dynamic center caps on your wheels ($181), but they may be fun add-ons for some drivers.

If you opt to add every single option available, you’ll pay approximately $54,469 for a new, fully loaded 2023 VW Arteon. As far as luxury vehicles go, this price is still pretty affordable. Some luxury sedans start at much more than that for just the base model, making the VW Arteon an excellent choice for someone looking for a touch of luxury at a somewhat reasonable price.
