The 2023 Jeep Gladiator is a midsize pickup truck version of the Jeep Wrangler SUV. It keeps the removable roof and doors and adds a five-foot steel truck bed. While the Gladiator is more expensive than its competitors, it provides a gratifying experience. It’s available in nine trim levels. What comes with the top trim, and what features can you add? Let’s look at how much a fully loaded 2023 Jeep Gladiator costs.
The 2023 Jeep Gladiator Sport trim
Stellantis says the 2023 Jeep Gladiator has been “engineered from the ground up to be the most off-road capable Jeep truck ever.” This midsize truck has seating for five. It comes standard in the base Sport trim with a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, but an eight-speed automatic is available.
The Gladiator Sport trim comes with trail-rated four-wheel drive (4WD), a two-speed transfer case, solid front and rear axles, and skid plates. It also has 17-inch steel wheels and all-season tires. It comes standard with a removable soft top, and from the interior, it has cloth upholstery along with manual front seats and door locks.
It also has a push-button start, a 7-inch touchscreen, three USB ports, Bluetooth, satellite radio, and an eight-speaker stereo. It is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Halogen headlights and fog lights, a rearview camera, plastic bumpers, tow hooks, and a Class II hitch receiver are also standard features.
The 2023 Jeep Gladiator High Altitude trim
The 2023 Jeep Gladiator is available in nine trim levels: Sport, Willys Sport, Sport S, Willys, Freedom, Overland, Mojave, Rubicon, and High Altitude. The Freedom special edition trim is new for the 2023 model year. The High Altitude trim is at the top end of the spectrum, with a starting price of $54,475.
The High Altitude trim comes with keyless entry, power windows, power door locks, and a power locking tailgate. This trim has the larger 8.4-inch touchscreen with navigation, HD radio, a nine-speaker audio system, extra USB ports, a 120-volt power outlet, a 400-watt inverter, and automatic climate control. It also provides LED headlights and fog lights, a hardtop, 20-inch wheels, side steps, and leather upholstery. Its additional safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors.
What can be added to the High Altitude trim
The 2023 Jeep Gladiator High Altitude trim offers many options which customize the truck and increase its price. While Bright White Clear-Coat exterior paint is the standard color, Black Clear-Coat, Sting-Gray Clear-Coat, or Hydro Blue Pearl-Coat each adds $395. Other exterior add-ons are a doors-off mirror kit by Mopar ($195), a forward-facing TrailCam ($695), a diesel 3.0L hood graphic by Mopar ($245), locking lug nuts ($65), four different top options (ranging from $150 to $1,250), three tonneau cover options ($625, $625, $995), and a spray-in bed liner by Mopar ($525).
Components can be added to the interior as well. That includes a wireless speaker ($345), a windshield tie-down strap by Mopar ($40), a soft top window storage bag ($75), all-weather slush mats by Mopar ($170), a hardtop headliner by Mopar ($555), interior assist handles by Mopar ($95), black door sill guards by Mopar ($125), and a Jeep trail-rated kit ($200).
These aren’t the only upgrades; there are also seven available packages: Advanced Safety Group ($945), Auxiliary Switch Group ($395), Capability Package ($1,795), Cold Weather Group ($1,195), Smoker’s Group ($30), Trail Rail™ Management System ($895), and the Trailer-Tow Package ($695). The Capability Package is new for 2023 and provides a winch-capable steel front bumper, steel rock rails, and a front off-road camera.
Gladiator buyers who pick higher trims can select the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 engine, generating 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque, which costs an additional $4,000. The High Altitude comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission, but a different transmission ($500) is paired with the diesel engine. In addition, a full-time 4WD option ($795) and a cold air intake system by Mopar ($525) are available but only with the standard engine.
While there are different configurations of options on the High Altitude trim of the 2023 Jeep Gladiator, and not all options can be selected together, choosing the most expensive options results in a price of around $71,125.
