The historic Ford Expedition hit American roads during the 1997 model year, and since then, it has been the gold standard for full-size SUVs. The Ford Expedition was a heavily-funded project from the start, with Ford investing over $1.3 billion into the development of the SUV. The goal behind the Expedition was to create the capable full-size SUV of the future to replace the aging, smaller Ford Bronco.

Since the release of the Expedition, it has been a hit, with the vehicle currently in its fourth generation, which started in 2018. Although this full-size SUV has evolved over the years, it remains a favorite for families with a ton of cargo to haul and offroaders who need a vehicle to get them wherever they need to go. If you are considering buying one of these Kentucky-built behemoths, look no further. Here is everything you need to know about the Expedition and how much you can expect to pay for a fully loaded new one today.
