The best full-size sedans are a reasonably diverse group when it comes to new cars, with options from Chrysler, Dodge, Nissan, and Toyota. While most big-name brands are focusing on SUVs and trucks, MotorTrend says there are still a lot of good sedans on the market.

The 2022 Chrysler 300 does it all as far as the best full-size sedans go. After hitting the scene in 2004, the Chrysler 300 has been a big seller for the Chrysler brand. MotorTrend says the 300 is comfortable, spacious, and has a lot of new technology. It comes in rear-wheel-drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), depending on which engine you choose. It also comes with a Hemi V8, if that’s more your style. The 2022 Chrysler 300 looks like last year’s model, but it is a powerful American sedan with a lot to offer buyers.

With plenty of room for passengers, luggage, or groceries, this is one of the best full-size sedans for 2022.

Don’t overlook the Nissan Maxima sedan

The 2022 Nissan Maxima is pretty accessible these days. It has a ton of room for whatever drivers need to get around town, plus a comfortable ride to go with it. The Maxima looks pretty sporty these days with an updated design. The Maxima has good safety scores from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a pretty reasonable price. Plus, the V6 gets 300 hp, which is plenty for this full-size sedan. The Maxima might be on its way out soon as Nissan focuses on SUVs, so you might be able to find a good deal soon.

MotorTrend didn’t forget the 2022 Toyota Avalon on this list of best full-size sedans. Nobody does reliable sedans like Toyota, and the Avalon is no exception. The inside is enormous, comfortable, and has tons of new technology. The Avalon was recently redesigned and updated, which brings a few new trim levels and even a sporty TRD version. Don’t buy the 2022 Toyota Avalon if you don’t love it, because it will last you a really long time.
