In fact, the Toyota RAV4, Toyota Camry, and Toyota Corolla were all in the top ten for the most sold models in America in 2020. In addition to those, the Toyota Tacoma is the best-selling pickup truck in its class. Here’s a rundown of the most satisfying 2021 Toyota Models according to Consumer Reports.

Is Toyota a good car brand? 

Overall, Toyota is a brand with storied reliability and a reputation for producing long-lasting vehicles. Additionally, owners are generally satisfied with their automotive purchases. According to a recent Consumer Reports study, a high number of Toyota owners say they would purchase the same model again. 

Consumer Reports published data from owners of 13 2021 Toyota models included in the consumer satisfaction survey. The results gave Toyota a satisfaction rating of 71/100. This put Toyota in a top 10 position (out of 27 total brands) in terms of general owner satisfaction. 

The most satisfying 2021 Toyota models according to Consumer Reports

According to Good Car Bad Car, the most popular Toyota models are the Toyota RAV4, Toyota Camry, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Tacoma, and Toyota Highlander. However, these are not the most satisfying 2021 Toyota models. According to Consumer Reports predicted owner satisfaction ratings, there are two cars that have perfect scores.

The 2021 Toyota Avalon and the 2021 Toyota Prius are the most satisfying 2021 Toyota models. In addition to its 5/5 predicted owner satisfaction ratings, the 2021 Toyota Avalon scored an impeccable 93/100 in its road test and an average 3/5 predicted reliability rating. The 2021 Toyota Prius also scored 5/5 for predicted reliability. Additionally, it earned a decent road test score of 75/100.

 How much is the 2021 Toyota Avalon?

The 2021 Toyota Avalon features eight different trim levels. Beginning with the base Avalon XLE which starts at $36,125, according to Toyota, the versions range all the way up to the 2021 Toyota Avalon Limited Hybrid. That range-topping unit has a starting MSRP of $43,400. 

Hybrid models are available in the XLE, XSE, and Limited trims. In the gas powered models, the Avalon employs either a 2.5 liter 205 hp four-cylinder or 3.5 liter 301 hp V6 engine. The hybrid models combine an electric motor with the 2.5 liter four which achieves 215 hp. 

The 2021 Toyota Avalon is number one in its class of large cars, according to Consumer Reports. If you are shopping for a new Avalon, it’s likely you’ll find the right model for your particular needs. However, Toyota just announced it’s killing the flagship sedan––despite a fabled legacy of luxury and high reported owner satisfaction ratings.

The 2021 Toyota Prius is one of the best Toyota cars you can buy according to Consumer Reports

Not only is the 2021 Toyota Prius the most reliable Toyota model, but it’s also the most reliable brand new car according to Consumer Reports data. In addition, the latest Prius is one of the two most satisfying 2021 Toyota models. The Prius is historically hybrid, with a claim to fame as one of the first hybrid cars available to modern car buyers. 

The 2021 Toyota Prius L Eco is the base model. Toyota offers this entry-level example starting at $24,525. There are six versions offered, according to Toyota’s website. The range-topping Limited trim starts at $32,820. All-wheel drive is now an option for the mid-range LE and XLE trims.

The Avalon and Prius are the most satisfying 2021 Toyota models according to Consumer Reports. However, the data shows that owners of Toyotas are largely satisfied with their purchases. Other popular cars like the Toyota Camry and Toyota Corolla scored 4/5 for predicted consumer satisfaction. 

Toyota SUV and pickup truck owners are also happy according to the data. 2021 Toyota models like the Toyota 4Runner, Toyota Sequoia, and Toyota Land Cruiser also scored a 4/5 in terms of owner satisfaction. Due to the fact that crossovers like the three-row Toyota Highlander and all-new hybrid-only Toyota Venza scored 4/5 as well, it’s safe to say the majority of Toyota owners like their vehicles. 

The Toyota Tundra scored 4/5, too, as well as sporty models like the Supra and the 86. In fact, it appears that most people like their Toyota cars. That said, according to Consumer Reports, both the Prius and the Avalon are the most satisfying 2021 Toyota models.
