There are a lot of EVs on the market, but sometimes these modern new vehicles don’t make it to the U.S. These electric SUVs and crossovers are some of the most efficient options available to purchase right now.
The Tesla Model Y Long Range is one of the most efficient electric SUVs for 2022
The 2022 Tesla Model Y Long Range was obviously included when it came to efficient electric SUVs. One of the standard measurements of efficiency is “how many kilowatt-hours of electricity it takes to drive 100 miles.” For the 2022 Tesla Model Y, the energy use per 100 miles is 28 kWh. The long-range version gives drivers 330 miles of range.

The Hyundai Kona electric SUV has a long range and a reasonable price
As far as electric SUVs go, the 2022 Hyundai Kona EV is one of the more affordable options. The Kona uses the same 28 kWh for every 100 miles but has a 258-mile range total. It is only available in front-wheel-drive. The larger battery pack gives his subcompact SUV enough range to satisfy most daily commutes.

Don’t overlook the Kia Niro EV SUV
While some of the electric SUVs have a few configurations, the 2022 Kia Niro EV only comes one way. The 2022 Niro comes in front-wheel drive with a high-voltage battery pack that gets 239 miles of range. Both the base EX trim and the EX Premium trim use 30 kWh per 100 miles.

When it comes to electric SUVs and crossovers, more options with longer ranges are available every day. While some of these options might not be efficient enough for every potential buyer, most of these electric SUVs make the cut.
