American trucks dominate the full-size truck vehicle segment. Now, it appears that American trucks will dominate the full-size electric truck vehicle segment as well. American automakers Tesla and Chevy are producing the two electric pickup trucks with the highest search volume in America.

The Tesla Cybertruck is the most anticipated electric truck in America by search volume

According to LeaseFetcher.co.uk, a car leasing comparison website, the Tesla Cybertruck has the highest search volume in America for an electric pickup truck. Americans search for the Cybertruck an average of 276,00 times a month. The electric truck is unlike any of its competitors, thanks to its unique design.

The Cybertruck has a cold-rolled steel exterior that resembles a Sci-Fi movie prop more than any pickup truck available today. Even automobile enthusiast Jay Leno is curious about the Cybertruck. Tesla estimates that the powerful electric pickup truck will make 800 horsepower. Its fastest Tri Motor model can go from 0-60 miles per hour in an astounding 2.9 seconds.

The Cybertruck is a hot topic because its design is so controversial. Its windshield could potentially limit visibility, and its frame is completely novel to the automotive industry. The electric pickup could be a huge success or epic failure. We’ll just have to wait and see how consumers like the pickup when Tesla finally releases it.

America is lovin’ the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV

The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV is the second-most searched electric pickup truck in the U.S. despite only being unveiled early in January 2022. It has been under a month since General Motors CEO Mary Barra revealed the truck at CES 2022, and the electric pickup has taken the internet by storm.

According to LeaseFetcher.co.uk, an average of 229,000 Americans search for the Chevrolet Silverado EV a month. Americans are excited about the Silverado EV because of the capabilities of its RST trim. The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV RST makes a massive 664 horsepower. It has a driving range of 400 miles.

The Silverado EV RST is more powerful and more capable than many of its rivals thus far, including the Ford F-150 Lightning. The electric pickup is Chevy and GM’s chance to produce a vehicle that can dominate an emerging vehicle segment.

The Tesla Cybertruck may have an incredible design, but consumers are getting frustrated with Tesla’s many delays. The Cybertruck is the quicker, more powerful model for now, but the Silverado EV RST could pose a real threat to the electric truck.

Consumers will have to play the waiting game to find out which electric truck is the true undisputed king of the hill. The Cybertruck’s most capable trims have more impressive specs, but the average American consumer won’t be able to afford Cybertruck or Silverado EV final trims. The real battle will be between the base model trucks. Can Chevy stand against Tesla’s EV experience, or is the Cybertruck destined to be the truck of the future?
