Our age and lifestyle are significant factors in why we buy certain cars. Whether you are looking to have fun off-roading, drive something that handles well, or need a reliable family vehicle, there are a lot of cars to choose from. According to Consumer Reports, these are the most popular cars and SUVs among millennials, and some of them might surprise you.

Honda, Honda, and more Honda

More than just a handful of Honda cars made the list. The CR-V and Odyssey are excellent family vehicles, and they are some of the most common cars on the road. It doesn’t stop there, because the Civic and Accord also made the list. Honda is a popular brand because they have a variety of trim levels to fit anyone’s driving preferences. They are also affordable to buy as well as maintain.

Honda has a line up of practical cars, but it was still surprising to see it make up a majority of the Consumer Reports list. What I thought was more surprising is that not a single sports car made the list among the 10 vehicles picked. These Hondas are popular brand new, but they are also great options if you are looking for something on a tight budget that will still be reliable.

Millennials are loving these, too

Could it be that millennials care more about practicality than performance? Of course, just because you are a millennial doesn’t mean you have to have one of these vehicles, but they do seem to be the most popular options among the generation. More than a handful of off-road capable cars made the list, starting with the best selling vehicle: the Ford F-150.

The Subaru Forester and Subaru Impreza also made the list, and that’s not all that shocking. These Subaru vehicles are excellent choices if you want a responsible daily drive that is safe for friends and family and just as capable of handling some geocaching adventures or with a little bit of modification, even some overlanding.

These options all seem to be among the most popular for millennials, but they are also some of the most common cars we see on the road in general. From the best selling vehicle in the US, the Ford F-150, to some of the most practical and affordable options, these cars are guaranteed to make you want to drive around more often.
