The Audi Q7 is a good pick for midsize luxury SUVs with three rows

Midsize luxury SUVs With 3-rows like the Audi Q7
The 2022 Audi Q7 | Audi

After reviewing the best midsize luxury SUVs, the 2022 Audi Q7 was Edmunds’ number one pick. Edmunds says the Q7 has led the segment since it hit the market in 2017. With a luxury interior matching the price and a build quality buyers might expect from Audi, this SUV also comes with plenty of safety features. Blind-spot monitoring, pre-collision sensors, and active lane assist help keep the Q7 luxury SUV safe on the road. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the 2022 Q7 high scores on most crash tests.

MSRP range: $57,500 – $73,300

Acura’s MDX came in second for midsize luxury SUVs with three rows

When it comes to the 2022 Acura MDX, Edmunds said it had a comfortable cabin and plenty of cargo space. The handling is described as “sporty,” but the ride is relaxed. Buyers can opt for all-wheel drive. Acura included all the latest technology someone might want in the midsize Acura SUV. Forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and blind-spot warning are standard. Also included are rear cross-traffic warning and automatic emergency braking. The IIHS gave the 2022 Acura MDX the Top Safety Pick Plus award.

MSRP range: $48,000 – $72,050

The Lincoln Aviator is a comfortable luxury option

In third place, the 2022 Lincoln Aviator is one of the best midsize luxury SUVs with three rows. It offers an upscale design, quick acceleration, and even comes in a plug-in hybrid powertrain. This midsize luxury SUV with three rows has plenty of room, and Edmunds says it is “big, heavy and cushy.” Evasive steering assist, reverse brake assist, and pre-collision assist are a few of the favorite safety features. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2022 Aviator a five-star safety rating.

MSRP range: $51,780 – $88,230

The one to skip is the Lexus GX 460 SUV

Out of eight similar midsize luxury SUVs with three rows, the 2022 Lexus GX 460 came last. Edmunds says it was below the segment average, primarily due to age. The Lexus GX has been on the market in its current form for a long time. However, it is off-road capable and has plenty of room. Lane departure alert, pre-collision system, and drive-attention monitor are some helpful new features on the GX. This Lexus SUV didn’t receive any safety scores from the IIHS or NHSTA, which could be perceived as a negative. There are better vehicles in the segment for the same price, even though the 2022 Lexus GX isn’t the worst vehicle on the market.

MSRP range: $56,125 – $65,635

Midsize luxury SUVs with three rows have a lot of things to deliver on, and some of these options did that. Edmunds thoroughly tested each option to ensure the sport utility vehicles were safe and roomy enough. As the 2023 models hit dealerships, you might be able to get a better deal on some of these outgoing models.
