Super Bowl commercials are all the rage this week, especially those with exciting new cars, trucks, and SUVs. Did anyone see what kind of truck Kanye West was driving in the McDonald’s Super Bowl commercial? The Sherp N 1200 is an amphibious vehicle with five-foot-tall tires and 55 hp, the perfect vehicle for McDonald’s drive-through runs.

What the heck was Kanye West driving in the McDonald’s Super Bowl commercial?

In case you missed it, McDonald’s has a new ad out to celebrate the big game. The Super Bowl ad is titled “Can I Get Uhhhhhhhhhhhh.” Supposedly, it represents the pause people often make before placing an order at the drive-through. Because there are just endless options at McDonald’s. Chicken nuggets? A McDouble? Definitely a happy meal or two, but don’t even think about ordering ice cream because the machine is broken.

Anyway, Mr. West secured a spot in the commercial and managed to be in one of the most confusing vehicles known to man. Kanye was actually in a truck called the Sherp. It is a Ukrainian amphibious vehicle meant to overcome anything in its way. According to Sherp itself, “Obstacles do not block the path, they are the path.”

Quadro International creates the Sherp utility task vehicles (UTVs) in Kyiv, Ukraine. Quadro says the Sherp vehicles “have no analogs in the world in terms of their capabilities and characteristics.”

What is a Sherp doing at the McDonald’s drive-through?

The rest of the people in the Super Bowl commercial were just ordinary people with a craving for McDonald’s fries. Then Kanye West rolls up in what looks to be a blacked-out piece of farm equipment with wheels higher than the drive-through window. The Sherp opens from the front like a tank, and Kanye offers his best “Uhhhhhhh” through the window.

The Sherp truck is ready for various uses, notably geologists, oil workers, rescue agents, fishers, hunters, extreme drivers, and travelers. None of which are Ye. According to Fox News, West owns 10 of these Sherp N 1200 vehicles for his Wyoming ranch. Each one costs about $125,000 and isn’t technically street legal. It has a top speed of 18.6 mph on land and 3.7 mph in the water.

Kanye West has apparently expressed his love for McDonald’s a lot

NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace also made the Super Bowl commercial along with FIFA Twitch streamer Edwin Castro. McDonald’s ad wanted to represent that sometimes, you really just don’t know what to order. West wrote a poem titled “The McDonald’s Man for Boys Don’t Cry” for Frank Ocean’s album a few years back.

The poem went a little something like this, thanks to The Verge:

I Knew The Diet Coke Was Jealous Of The Fries

Even The McRib Was Jealous Of The Fries

I could See It Through His Artificial Meat Eyes

And He Only Be There Some Of The Time

Everybody Was Jealous Of Them French Fries

Except For That One Special Guy

That Smooth Apple Pie

Whatever Ye was driving, it has people talking. While Super Bowl ads are huge during the game, this McDonald’s commercial will likely be running for a few months now. If you have $125,000 sitting around and want some chicken nuggets, don’t take it through the drive-through. Unless you get it registered with the state, that is. But be sure you get Kanye something to eat in case he is hungry and on Twitter again.
