Mazda SUVs solve problems 77% of parents are worried about
Typically most drivers worry about how safe vehicles are. This anxiety increases among parents driving their kids around. But Mazda SUVs have your back with innovative safety features whether you have kids or not.
How safe are Mazda SUVs?
As safety standards rise, Mazda SUVs continue to go above and beyond to keep up. Most Mazda cars and SUVs have a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHSTA).
Plus, nearly every available model except for the Mazda CX-5 is a 2024 Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick+ award winner.
This matters as safety is an increasing concern among drivers, especially parents. According to Mazda USA, 77% of parents agree that driving with a child in the car comes with additional challenges and concerns.
Roughly 63% of parents feel more anxious with their child in the car and worry about child safety during an accident.
About 47% of parents prefer driving vehicles with higher safety ratings and 84% shared that NHTSA and IIHS scores are important to consider while shopping for a family car. Other concerns are related to seating capacity and extra cargo space.
Parents also worry about inclement weather situations, but luckily Mazda vehicles have standard AWD.

Other standard safety features include blind-spot monitoring, collision warning, a reverse camera, lane-keeping assist, driver attention warning, safe exit assist, adaptive cruise control, and rear seat reminder.
The Mazda CX-90 is probably the best option for growing families as it offers three rows. It can seat up to eight passengers.
This is one model in particular that is very safe for children. It received a Good+ rating for its child seat anchors. They’re easy to find, aren’t too deep in the seat, easy to maneuver, and don’t require too much force to attach.
For older kids, the seatbelt reminders have a good score. The unbelted occupant alert is audible and visual. The alert chimes once the vehicle is started and if the belt is disengaged.
Mazda knows that safety is on parents’ minds and works to stay ahead of increasing standards.
