Yikes, one routine shift of work for a truck driver ended in disaster as he was attacked by a former NFL player. Mark Sanchez led an unprovoked attack, and the victim is lucky to be alive as he recovers in the hospital.
Mark Sanchez attacks an innocent truck driver
For some reason, Mark Sanchez, a former NFL quarterback, attacked an innocent truck driver. The 69-year-old man, identified as Perry Tole, was simply doing his job around 12:30 Saturday morning when he was attacked.
According to Fox 59, the trucker collects restaurant kitchen oil for recycling and parked his truck in an alley off of Maryland Street.
Police officers shared that Sanchez told Pole he couldn’t park there and drunkenly climbed into the truck. Sanchez aggressively pushed and shoved the man when he tried to reach his phone for help.
Then, Pole pepper-sprayed Sanchez in self-defense and jumped out of the vehicle. Sanchez is seen on security footage chasing the man until he corners him between a dumpster and wooden pallets.
As Pole was being attacked, he pulled out a knife and fell down as Sanchez beat him. During the altercation, he stabbed Sanchez. Sanchez is seen staggering out of the alley and banging on windows for help.
Emergency responders took both men to the hospital. The Pole’s wounds are much more serious than Sanchez’s. He suffered a severe laceration to the side of his face, penetrating through his left cheek.
His jaw and tongue have been impacted. Plus, his upper body is covered in bruises. Mark Sanchez has been charged with a Level 5 Felony Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury. However, more charges may follow.
