Las Vegas man threatens to shoot people as his SUV erupts in flames
I’m not saying it’s alright to threaten people with a gun. However, it must be pretty stressful when your car catches on fire. A man in Las Vegas should have controlled his anger a little better when his SUV erupted in flames.
Las Vegas man threatens to shoot people when SUV catches on fire
One Las Vegas man was having a terrible day and things got much worse when he ended up in prison. Police officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 2800 block of East Charleston Boulevard and found a white BMW burning to the ground.
The owner was identified as 33-year-old Dedre Hines, who was aggressively threatening multiple people with a handgun during the fire.
According to 8 News Now, Hines had his gun in the waistband of his pants in a convenience store and was asked to leave. An employee told him that the store didn’t allow guns and asked him to leave.
Then Hines pulled out the gun and threatened to shoot two cashiers. He slammed the gun on the counter, claiming he only wanted to buy cigarettes. Hines finally left and the cashier called 911 as she heard him yell the word, “Kill” multiple times.
Hines went into the store, waving the gun around again, and failed to purchase cigarettes again as he noticed the burning SUV.
He walked over to it, took something out of the driver’s side, and casually walked away. Police officers chased after him as he fired shots at them.
Upon finally getting caught, he was charged with attempted murder with the use of a deadly weapon, two accounts of assault with a deadly weapon, three counts of child abuse or neglect, burglary while in possession of a firearm or deadly weapon, and discharging a gun into an occupied structure, vehicle, and craft.
