‘I Might As Well Paint My Car Black’ — Home Paint Job Turns Into Car Paint Job by Mistake
This man goes viral for revealing how his white Toyota’s hood got totally covered in inky black paint while painting his garage.
Spilled paint may be something to cry over, especially when it’s over your white car.
In a TikTok post that has generated over 41 million views as of this writing, Adrian (@adrian_peru) shares how his garage painting project quickly went south.
I Might As Well Paint The Car Black Now
“Bro, look at this [curse],” Adrian starts out saying.
Adrian shares how he was painting in his garage when tragedy struck. He explains how he put his black paint bucket on one of the garage handles when the garage was closed.
“Painted everything, BUT my garage,” the post’s caption reads.
Everything was going smoothly until his girlfriend came home and opened up the garage. All of the paint from the bucket then spilled onto his car.
“I had my little bucket up there. I had the garage closed. My girl just gets here and opens the garage while I’m painting. She didn’t know, but dawg, look at this [curse],” Adrian shares.
Adrian reveals all the splattered black paint on his white car’s factory-painted surface. He also mentions how he tried to stop the downpour of paint by lying on top of the car.
“Yeah, that’s me. I tried saving this by lying on my car,” he explains.
The car hood has a clear outline of Adrian’s body. He re-enacted the moment by lying down while completely covered in black paint.
“I should’ve saved myself. Look at this. I ain’t do nothing but leave a design. This [curse] looks like I just ran somebody over. Crime scene,” Adrian shares.
Taking inventory of all the paint on the hood, Adrian notices black paint on the windshield as well.
“I might as well just paint my car black now,” he vents.
Adrian prepared the garage floor by extending paper on the floor to protect against any potential spills. However, he did not account for the car being in danger.
“My neighbors are looking out here, wondering what is this guy doing,” Adrian reflects as he is covered in black paint.
“I’m a little more paint from being canceled y’all,” he concludes.
Commenters Chimed In On This New Paint Job
The viewers found the incident thoroughly entertaining and mentioned how the car is perfect for Halloween decorations.
“Design goes hard tho,” one TikTok user mentioned.
“The ‘crime scene’ has me weak,” one commented.
“His girlfriend is just in the car like my bad,” one added.
“The outline of you took me OUT,” one shared.
“I love how his girlfriend ain’t getting out of her car. I wouldn’t either,” another user commented.
“At least it’s decorated for Halloween,” one added.
Did The Paint Come Off?
In a follow-up post, Adrian reveals that he did, in fact, get the paint off his car hood. However, he wasn’t totally out of the clear.
“I got the paint off my car. I was out here for two hours cleaning. That’s my underwear. I was literally in the garage naked cleaning my car” Adrian shared.
After his hard work to remove the split paint, Adrian realized another issue. While cleaning the initial spill, Adrian discovered he had gotten black paint on the car behind him in the garage.
“Why am I seeing this on my girl’s car?” he shared.
Turns out Adrian’s backside was covered in paint, and he accidentally leaned against his girlfriend’s car, transferring more of the goop.
“That’s another two-hour job… I had to do a [curse] handstand just to get the button of my car,” he shares.
“Bro was hitting the handstand twerk,” one TikTok commenter joked.
In addition to the butt marks, there was a black handprint and a footprint on the vehicle. He believes his girlfriend parked too close to him while cleaning up the initial mess.
“I had no idea this was going to leave all of this,” he concluded.
Was This Staged?
The content creator was recognized by many commenters for being the gender reveal guy.
“Realizing this is the gender reveal guy is sending me into orbit,” one TikTok commenter added.
Now, considering Adrian has built a large following around creating content, speculation began to arise when viewers noticed inconsistencies in the fingerprints and footprints upon taking a closer look at the girlfriend’s car.
“I know it’s not your finger but I just can’t prove it,” one commented.
“If there’s a footprint on the car why isnt there any on the floor,” another noticed.
“I don’t even care if this is staged, you’re so funny,” a third added.
Whether it was staged or not, it’s certainly entertaining.
