Police officers are left confused as to why a man would jump his Ford SUV off of a casino roof. Was he drunk, mad, or both? As the driver receives medical treatment, officers are left to investigate the scene in the conference center, where the SUV landed.
Man jumps Ford SUV off of a casino roof
A man was driving a little bit wild before things escalated as he jumped his Ford SUV off the roof of the Bally’s Casino parking garage. It went through the roof of the casino’s adjoining conference center, causing debris and chaos.
The incident occurred around 9 am in Evansville, Indiana. Due to injuries, the driver was injured and quickly taken via ambulance to the hospital.
The Evansville Police Department hasn’t released his information yet. He may have been drunk or driving under the influence of other drugs. They will learn about his condition soon.
According to Yahoo, no one else suffered any injuries. The SUV flew about 40 feet from the 7th floor of the parking garage before plummeting upside down through the roof of the conference center.
The SUV is sitting on the second floor of the conference center and will have to be removed by a crane. A Bally’s security guard did ask the driver to slow down before the incident occurred. He was circling the second floor before deciding to climb higher.
A larger concrete slab, debris, and water surrounded the accident. The conference center and parking deck will be temporarily closed for a while. However, the casino will reopen on Monday.
Ironically, Koorsen Fire and Safety was hosting a conference for building inspectors and firefighters about fire alarms and sprinkler systems at the time of the incident.
The driver was actually rescued by off-duty firefighters. They also helped secure the build and turn the emergency systems off.
