The Bentley Bentayga Hybrid might not be your usual plug-in hybrid vehicle, but it certainly represents the luxury hybrid SUV market. AutoGuide says it is for the one percent of the one-percenters, making it one of the most exclusive PHEVs on the market. It offers a 3.0L V6 combined with an electric motor for a total of 443 hp. The Bentayga motor can go 25 miles on a single charge.

Don’t overlook the BMW X5 xDrive45e luxury hybrid SUV

For the BMW X5 xDrive45e, a turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder engine is combined with an electric motor for power. Together, these get 389 hp. The motor offers 31 miles of range with one of the smaller motors on this list. It can be easy to blow past the motor into gasoline territory, so be aware of that before buying.

One of the only options from the Audi brand is the Audi Q5 55 TFSI e Plug-in Hybrid

The Audi Q5 55 TFSI e Plug-in Hybrid is one of the only PHEVs available from Audi these days. The brand focuses on fully electric vehicles these days, leaving the Q5 55 TFSI e alone. This luxury hybrid SUV gets 362 hp from the turbocharged four-cylinder and electric motor. Audi says the Q5 luxury hybrid SUV gets 23 miles on the motor before switching to the gasoline engine.

The Lexus NX 450h+ AWD gets 37 miles on a single charge

From the land of reliability, the Lexus NX 450h+ AWD is one of the only luxury hybrid SUVs from the brand. There are many hybrid options on the market from Lexus, but only one is a plug-in hybrid vehicle. The NX 450h+ AWD has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine combined with a motor to get 304 hp. AutoGuide says that this enables the luxury hybrid SUV can get from zero to 60 mph in six seconds. Plus, it gets around 37 miles on a single charge. Not bad!

Porsche has two options, the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid and the Turbo S E-Hybrid

From Porsche, the Cayenne comes in two different varieties. The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid or Turbo S E-Hybrid are technically plug-in hybrid vehicles with very different attributes. The E-Hybrid has 455 hp from a V6 gasoline engine and an electric motor. It also gets from zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds. The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid gets 670 hp from the electric motor and turbo V8 engine. That makes it the most powerful and second quickest Cayenne in the lineup right now.

While there aren’t that many luxury hybrid SUV options from each brand, there are plenty of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles to choose from. These luxury options won’t come cheap, but the fuel savings will add up.
