When choosing a pickup truck, it’s ideal to pick a reliable one. You can count on it to get the job done — day after day. Also, a durable truck is more likely to last many miles. However, the longest-lasting truck isn’t a Toyota, Chevy, or Ram. It’s the Ford F-350 Super Duty.

Toyota, with the Tacoma and Tundra, has long provided high-level pickup truck reliability. Chevrolet, with the Silverado — and the Ram Trucks lineup — are durable models, too. However, the longest-lasting truck isn’t from any of these brands, for the Ford F-350 achieved the top spot for longevity.

Earlier this year, iSeeCars revealed its Longest-Lasting Car study. And based on this study, the F-350 Super Duty is the truck that’s most likely to reach 250,000 miles. It has a 49.1% chance of hitting the 250K mark, which is more than four times the 11.8% average for all types of vehicles.

The next best truck for longevity is the Toyota Tundra, with a 47.9% chance of making it to 250,000 miles. That’s followed by the Ford F-250 Super Duty (43.6%) and the Toyota Tacoma 41.7%.

Here are the longest-lasting trucks, with the highest chance of reaching 250,000 miles:

  1. Ford F-350 Super Duty: 49.1%
  2. Toyota Tundra: 47.9%
  3. Ford F-250 Super Duty: 43.6%
  4. Toyota Tacoma: 41.7%
  5. GMC Sierra 2500HD: 41.3%
  6. Chevy Silverado 2500HD: 41.2%
  7. Chevy Silverado 1500: 31.0%
  8. Chevy Avalanche: 26.7%
  9. Ram 2500: 26.3%
  10. Ram 3500: 24.3%

In total, for the longest-lasting pickup trucks, there are two models for Ford, two for Toyota, three for Chevrolet, two for Ram, and one for GMC. Along with being the longest-lasting truck, the Ford F-350 tops the longevity list for all model types. In 2023, it dethroned the Toyota Land Cruiser SUV (47.9%).

The 2023 Ford F-350 and other pickup trucks in the Super Duty lineup have a redesign for the new model year. This includes incorporating exterior styling elements from the smaller Ford F-150 and Maverick trucks. There are also seven new grille options.

Additionally, on the performance front, the longest-lasting truck offers a new 6.7-liter Power Stroke V-8 diesel engine, and the 7.3-liter V-8 has refined tuning and an upgraded air intake, per MotorTrend. Plus, a traction-enhancing four-wheel drive system now comes standard on XLT and above trims.

Furthermore, the F-350 offers many new features. This includes a customizable 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a smartphone wireless charger, a Wi-Fi hotspot, the Power Pro auxiliary power system, and Max-Recline front seats. There are also new driving assistance features, such as a blind-spot information system, a 360-degree trailer system, and trailer navigation.

And for a high-quality listening experience, the F-350 can be equipped with the Bang & Olufsen sound system, which offers either eight or 12 speakers.

The longest-lasting pickup truck is the Ford F-350 Super Duty, not the Toyota Tundra or Tacoma — or models from Chevrolet or Ram. With the greatest chance of making it to 250,000 miles, the F-350 tops the longevity list.
