From 2018-to 2021, the fastest model the brand made was was the LC 500, but 2021 marked the end of that coupe’s reign. The new 2022 Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition is the fastest today! This car is ready to impress with 472 horsepower, a 0-60 time of 3.96 seconds, and a top speed of 170 mph. 

What’s next for performance?

Since 2015, the brand has created some remarkable performance models, but it has yet to match the thrilling performance offered on the Lexus LFA and its 202 mph top speed. But, just because the brand hasn’t had a model like that in the last few years doesn’t mean it is abandoning performance altogether. 

Don’t worry, the brand has announced the next supercar, aptly named the Lexus EV Supercar. It is slated to hit dealership lots in 2025 and looks to be the successor to the classic LFA. According to Lexus, this EV be able to hit 60 mph in just over 2 seconds! Furthermore, this upcoming electric sports car could possibly offer you 430 miles of range.

This model is still a few years away, but you should still be excited about the possibility of what a fully-electric supercar can offer.
