Ram truck reliability
In 2014, Ram trucks were also among the least reliable 2014 pickup trucks. The Ram 1500 earned 2 out of 5 for predicted reliability. According to Consumer Reports, the 2014 Ram 1500 had problem areas such as the engine major and the fuel system.
The Ram 2500 model is the least reliable truck of 2014 according to Consumer Reports data. This model is the one we mentioned before––the one with the super low 1 out of 5 predicted reliability rating. It’s a strong truck that can haul and tow a lot, but it may not be one of the best used truck models.
If you look at the data for the Ram 2500 model, pretty much every component is a trouble spot. In fact, every category received only a 1 out of 5 score except in two areas. The electric system and exhaust components both earned a 3 out of 5.

While these truck models are rated lowest by Consumer Reports, that really doesn’t necessarily mean they are terrible trucks that we should avoid at all costs.
