A 33-year-old man in Brook Park, Ohio was sitting in his pickup truck, inhaling nitrous oxide or laughing gas as he pandered for gas money.
Other drivers called the police to report the man while his truck was parked outside of the Ashes Smoke Shop on Snow Road.
In between rounds of inhaling nitrous oxide, he was asking people to give him gas money. This makes it seem like he was planning to drive away after getting enough cash to fill his truck.
Once the cops arrived, the man’s condition seemed pretty intoxicated. The truck’s engine was running and the man’s eyes were glassy.
He was slow to respond to questions and then raised a bottle of laughing gas to his mouth for a deep inhale. Then police officers noticed additional bottles of nitrous oxide in the truck’s passenger seat.

Police officers repeatedly told the man to put the bottle down and to stop inhaling the gas, but he refused. When they told him to turn off the truck’s engine, he wouldn’t cooperate. The man claimed that the engine wasn’t running, so he couldn’t turn it off.
Upon opening the door of the pickup truck, they found even more bottles of nitrous oxide. The man couldn’t climb out of the truck, so the police officers had to pull him out. He slid to the ground and was placed in handcuffs.
According to the Cleveland News, paramedics were called to examine the man’s condition. Luckily he was cleared and wasn’t in medical danger.
However, he was taken to jail. It’s unclear how many charges are racked up against him, but hopefully, he has a good lawyer.
