Kia is one of the most popular automakers in the American car market, and like many other automakers, Kia has several crossover options in its lineup. Kia has crossover SUV options that span many segments as well, which will give car shoppers many options to think about. Here’s a look at Kia’s latest crossovers.

2023 Kia Soul

According to Kia, currently, the smallest crossover SUV that the Korean automaker has is the Kia Soul. It has an MSRP of just under $20,000, and it’s in the subcompact crossover segment. This little Kia crossover only has one engine option, and it’s a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that gets 147 hp.

It’s not very powerful, but since the engine is mated to a CVT and the Soul only has front-wheel drive, it is a fairly efficient car. This setup allows the Soul to get about 32 mpg combined. Plus, it does have a somewhat unique box shape design.

2023 Kia Seltos

The next crossover in Kia’s lineup is the Seltos, and it’s also in the subcompact crossover segment. However, it starts at an MSRP of about $23,000, and that allows car shoppers to get a car that’s a bit larger.

This size advantage means that the Seltos has more cargo capacity than the Soul, and Kia also gave car shoppers some engine options. There’s the standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder that gets 146 hp, but folks can opt for a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that gets 175 hp.

2023 Kia Niro

The Kia Niro sits in the compact crossover segment, and this makes it a larger option, but it’ll be more expensive as well. The Niro starts at an MSRP of about $25,000, giving car shoppers access to its hybrid powertrain as standard.

This is because Kia only offers the Niro as a hybrid, a PHEV, or an EV, with the hybrid being the cheapest option. The standard Niro gets a 1.6-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain that gets 139 hp. This will allow it to get 50 mpg combined.

2023 Kia Sportage

Like the Niro, the Kia Sportage is also a compact crossover. However, it starts at an MSRP of about $26,000 and comes with a regular 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that gets 187 hp. Kia does offer hybrid options for the Sportage, but its main attraction is its additional size compared to others in the segment. Overall, the Sportage is Kia’s best-selling SUV option right now.

2022 Kia Sorento

The Kia Sorento, meanwhile, is a midsize crossover with third-row seats. It has an MSRP of just under $30,000, and it has several engine options available. It starts with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that gets 191 hp. Kia also offers a more powerful gas engine and two hybrid options. However, while it’s large for a Kia, it’s not the biggest Kia crossover.

2022 Kia Telluride

The Kia Telluride is also a midsize crossover with third-row seats, but it’s larger than the Sorento. The Telluride starts at an MSRP just over $33,000, and it’s a near-perfect SUV. The Telluride has won so many awards that it’s difficult to critique it. All Tellurides come with a powerful 3.8-liter V6 engine that gets 291 hp.

2023 Kia EV6

Lastly, the EV6 is Kia’s first dedicated EV, which is in the compact crossover segment. Since it’s a true EV, it’s the most expensive starting option, with an MSRP of just over $41,000. The standard EV6 has a single electric motor that gets 167 hp and only has a range of 232 miles thanks to its small battery. However, a bigger battery option will allow the EV6 up to 310 miles of range.
