As I grew up in rural South Carolina, people always said to use a Honda or a diesel to save fuel. But times have changed and the 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid is a new efficiency leader. It’s being called the perfect SUV for road trips this summer. 

How much range does the 2026 Kia Sorento have? 

Drum roll, please! The 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid gets an EPA-estimated 637 miles of range on a single tank. It gets about 34 mpg in the city and up to 36 mpg on the highway. 

Also, it has a 17.7-gallon tank. Based on the current national average price of gas of $3.22 per gallon, it costs approximately $56.99 to fill up. The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has a range of about 435 miles with 38 mpg in the city and up to 35 mpg on the highway.

Also, the Honda CR-V Hybrid has up to 596 miles of range with up to 43 mpg in the city and up to 36 mpg on the highway. The Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid comes close to its success with 619 miles of range. 

So, the Sorento Hybrid excels with the best range. Plus, it has extra space with the ability to seat up to seven passengers. The RAV4 and CR-V only offer five seats. 

According to USA Today, the Kia Sorento Hybrid offers up to 12.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, and 45 cubes behind the second row. If you need space for extra gear, it can tow up to 2,000 lbs.
