The 2022 Kia EV6 has been shaking up the world of electric SUVs. It offers a range of up to 310 miles and it can come equipped with all-wheel drive. Additionally, Kia has stated that the EV6 has a quicker 0 to 60 mph time than that of the Porsche Cayenne Coupe, and that is a pretty impressive feat. But, can the new Kia EV6 hold up to adventuring? The answer to that question may be a bit complicated, but that does not mean this electric SUV is not worthy of consideration.

Can the 2022 Kia EV6 go off-road?

The new EV6 does offer available all-wheel drive, but do not expect this vehicle to handle legitimate off-road situations. It lacks things like knobby tires and other features that are typically seen on 4×4 vehicles, however, it is still a vehicle that can tackle things like car camping or other kinds of adventures.

When properly equipped, according to Car and Driver, the new Kia EV6 is an EV with a range of over 310 miles. This means that it can be a road-trip-ready SUV to take you on your next cross-country adventure. Better yet, with ultra-fast charging, it can add 80% of charge in under 20 minutes. Which does add to the practicality of this vehicle.

Is the 2022 EV6 good in winter?

Since it does have available AWD, the Kia EV6 should be capable enough to handle winter weather. In addition to AWD, this electric SUV also offers a heat pump. This feature will help to reduce the impact weather may have on range, and more EVs have been adding it. With AWD, the model also boasts a 0 to 60 mph time of just 4.6 seconds which is an impressive number.

Also likely to be appreciated by those in cold climates are the available heated front and rear seats. Even the steering wheel of this electric SUV can come heated. This will help to keep you warm when the temperature outside drops.

What cool features does the Kia EV6 have?

In terms of cool features, the Kia EV6 brings quite a bit to the table. One of the most exciting ones is the presence of an onboard power generator. This feature will allow you to power different things using your new Kia SUV. And that will likely come in handy for things like camping or tailgating.

Another notable tech feature is the head-up display, which offers augmented reality. When you opt for this feature, you can keep your eyes on the road ahead while still being aware of important information.

Can the EV6 tow?

When properly equipped, the 2022 Kia EV6 can tow up to 2,300 lbs. While this may not be as much as other vehicles, it is still enough to tow various items like jet skis to the lake or a small camper. When towing, you may experience reduced range but that is just part of owning an EV.

The new Kia EV6 may not be the most popular vehicle at the moment, but as things like supply chain issues get figured out, it is likely that Kia’s EV will find fandom among those who need a daily commuter as well as a vehicle that can handle things like camping.
