John Deere Recalls Lawn Tractors Due to Crash Injuries: Check Your Tractor!
Summertime and the living is easy, but the lawn needs to be mowed. Unfortunately, John Deere has issued a recall for one of its popular lawn mowers after reports of minor injuries. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall for the John Deere XC80 and XC90 lawn tractors.
This John Deere recall impacts the John Deere X380 and X390 Lawn Tractors
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall for the two tractors mentioned above. The John Deere X380 comes in two sizes, a 48-inch deck and a 54-inch deck. The X390 also comes in two sizes, 48-inch, and 54-inch decks. The issue recalls the X380 with no deck, the X380 with a 48-inch deck, the X380 with a 54-inch deck, and the X390 with a 48-inch deck.
According to the organization, the wheel hubs on these John Deere tractors were not manufactured correctly. Due to this issue, the wheel hubs can fail. This can cause the tractor to lose the ability to brake or move forward, which poses a crash and injury hazard.

Sales information for these John Deere lawn tractor recalls
This John Deere recall has a remedy that includes a repair. Around 160 John Deere tractors are included in the recall, mainly in the U.S. John Deere also sold 30 of these in Canada. These lawn tractors have distinguishable green and yellow colors. The model number will be printed on the side. Buyers can locate the serial number on the frame on the front right side of the machine near the engine.
John Deere urges consumers to check the model of the tractor before taking it out. If you have one of these recalled John Deer lawn tractors, stop using it immediately. An authorized dealer will repair it for free. If you purchased one of these recently, the company will contact buyers directly, if possible.
The company has received three reports of these lawn tractors not braking properly. Minor injuries, such as bruises and cuts, have been reported. These tractors were sold nationwide and on John Deere website from April 2022 through May 2022, with a price of $5,000 to $6,300. The recall number for this issue is 22-756.
