Is the New Ford Bronco Worth Buying?
There are a lot of new options hitting the streets. The Chevy Blazer returned, the Jeep Gladiator is going off-roading, and much more. So, where will the 2021 Ford Bronco fall in the mix? Is it worth waiting for, or should you buy an option that’s already out?
Should you buy the New Ford Bronco?
It’s a little early to tell, honestly. All people have to go on for the new Ford Bronco are rumors and spy photos. However, we will see the official debut of the 2021 Ford Bronco on July 9th.
And once it makes its debut, it may take a few months to hit the dealerships. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) vehicle manufacturer, plants aren’t operating at full capacity, and there are a few delays and truck shortages to handle first. It may not be worth waiting for the Ford Bronco while other new trucks and SUVs are already available.
What we Know About the 2021 Ford Bronco
The Ford Bronco is being revived with it’s rugged, boxy style to compare against the Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Wrangler. So, we expect the Ford Bronco to go topless. Either the entire roof or the doors will be removable.
We know that the Bronco will share a platform with the Ford Ranger. The current model of the Ford Ranger is close to the version that has been performing well overseas, but the 2021 Ford Ranger will have a total redesign. It will probably have an aluminum body like other Ford trucks have.

This allows us to speculate that the Ford Bronco will have similar power to the Ford Ranger and lower trim options of the Ford F-150. While it’s unclear if the Bronco will get a V8, we at least know it will get the turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. The 2.7-liter V6 engine should be available as well. A diesel engine and hybrid system may be released down the line too.
Like the Jeep Wrangler, the new Ford Bronco will be available in multiple price ranges to meet a broad range of demands. There will even be a smaller trim option that’s referred to as the Ford Bronco Sport or Baby Bronco to compete with the Jeep Renegade.
The Ford Bronco will probably have a starting price of around $30k to rival the cost of Jeep Wranglers, and the Bronco Sport may have a lower price, like the Jeep Renegade.
Ford Bronco Features
The Ford Bronco will be an excellent off-roading vehicle, just like it’s predecessors. It will probably have a rock-crawling mode. Also, a video captured the new Ford Bronco gliding through the mud on a Georgia trail with no problems. It might have an off-roading feature for sand, as the Ford Bronco R prototype has already been racing through Mojave.
Plus, the 2021 Ford Bronco will be safe, smart, and convenient. A power back windshield is expected as well as Ford Sync technology for Alexis, Google Play, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and more.
Some stability control would be a modern feature. Also, other expected safety features include a heads up display, forward collision braking or evasive steering assist, multiple off-roading camera views, and much more.
However, we have to wait for the Ford Bronco release date on July 9th to learn more. Until then, maybe it’s best to wait before buying something new. The Ford Bronco could surpass expectations, or it could let everyone down. Deciding now is a huge gamble.
