Changing the two-wheel-drive standard SUV over to an all-wheel drive boosts the price to $106,865. Customers can replace the standard 6.2-liter V8 engine with a 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel, adding another $50 to the price.

Plenty of standard equipment comes with the Escalade Sport Platinum model. For instance, the Touring Package is standard on this model. The Touring Package includes front and rear soft-close doors, illuminated sill plates, and an air ride adaptive suspension. The standard V8 engine makes 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque and comes paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission.

Overall, the Cadillac Escalade is not worth more than $100,000. After all, the cheapest trim, called Luxury, is over $20,000 cheaper. Additionally, other similarly-sized SUV models are much more affordable. The extra equipment gained from paying so much more money is not substantial enough to warrant the price tag.
