This vehicle morphs a full-size sedan body with muscle car styling to create one hell of a supercar. Most high-performance cars in this class can be cramped, and while the 2021 Dodge Hellcat Redeye may be bulkier, but it doesn’t suffer for it. You can stretch out, grab a few friends, and burn rubber all in the blink of an eye.

If you’ve been living under a rock, a supercar can be defined as a vehicle that marries high-performance speed with street-legal specs. One can easily make a case as to why the 2021 Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye fits the bill.

The Hellcat branding is well known these days. Dodge first made waves with the 707-hp Challenger and Charger Hellcat trims as part of both models’ 2015 facelift.

Dodge has played ‘mad scientist’ ever since, attempting to increase the horsepower year after year. It even lent the supercharged V8 engine to SUVs – the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and the Dodge Durango Hellcat. The Charger Hellcat Redeye is yet another experiment to see just how far street-legal performance can go.

Dodge’s iconic supercharged 6.2-liter V8 resides under the hood of the 2021 Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye. This powerplant is enhanced to kick out a once unheard of 797 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque. Drivers seeking an adrenaline rush can get their fix by bringing this speed demon to the track, where it can reach a top speed of 203 MPH.

This Redeye variant of the Hellcat has an increased redline (6,500 RPM compared to 6,200 RPM) to go along with the extra power. You can harness the Hellcat Redeye’s untamed power with its launch control system. But great power needs to come with great restraint, which is why it comes with a standard Brembo braking system.

The 2021 Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye takes on all challengers

Dodge’s introduction of the Charger Hellcat Redeye provided some pretty stunning figures and statements. The manufacturer said this performance model is “the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world.”

However, its 2.1-mile road coarse time was the biggest eye-opener. It completed the test in 1.2 seconds faster than its coupe sibling, the 2021 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye.

Car and Driver’s 0-60 MPH acceleration test confirmed the 2021 Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye’s superiority. It achieved an incredible time of just 3.5 seconds – three-tenths of a second faster than the Challenger Hellcat Redeye.

The Challenger gets more recognition than the Charger, which can double as a family sedan. However, these mind-blowing numbers may start to change the narrative.

The final verdict

Are you more intrigued by a supercar that stands out from the rest? Most of these performance-driven vehicles have sleek designs and an interior built for two. However, The 2021 Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye is the equivalent of a god among men.

It stands head and shoulders above the rest with a larger interior than most supercars, making it more versatile for everyday driving. Meanwhile, its aggressive muscle car design intimidates the competition into submission.
