Unfortunately, drivers and passengers often struggle against getting car sick. Nothing ruins a fun road trip like suddenly needing the driver to pull over so you can toss your biscuits. Luckily, there’s a new iPhone feature that can prevent motion sickness.

A new iPhone feature combats motion sickness

We’ve all been there, struggling during a road trip as symptoms of getting car sick arise. Suddenly, you have a slight headache, feel hot and sweaty, and want the window open as a brick in your stomach starts moving upwards.

You might get dizzy or irritable but hopefully, you can blow your chunks out the window or car door instead of all over the upholstery.

Apple wants to make life better on the road by preventing motion sickness. A new iPhone feature, ‘Vehicle Motion Cues’ is designed to help passengers feel less queasy while looking at screens in the car.

This is helpful in today’s day and age as people love to travel with their phones and iPads. Even drivers may benefit from the infotainment screen while using Apple CarPlay.

With the features, animated dots on the edges of the screen show changes in vehicle motion to help reduce sensory conflict without interfering with content.

According to Yahoo, motion sickness is caused by a sensory conflict between what a person sees and feels. This can cause people to feel uncomfortable by reading or using electronic devices in a moving car.

It makes people dizzy and for unknown reasons, women are more prone to getting carsick than men. Also, children between ages two and nine have a higher risk as their inner ear canals are still developing.
