The Toyota Camry is synonymous with reliability, sensibility, and affordable quality. However, the Camry also offers a hybrid option for potential owners who want an eco-friendly spin on their Camry. So, which one has the greater lifespan, the Toyota Camry Hybrid or its conventional cousin?

How many miles will Toyota Camry last?

The Toyota Camry is one of the longest-lasting sedans that iSeeCars names in its vehicle lifespan study. Specifically, the Camry has a potential lifespan of 223,249 miles. According to the study, that means that 1% of the Toyota Camry models from 10 of the last 20 model years have nearly 225,000 miles on their odometers. Moreover, the hybrid model of the Toyota Camry makes the list of longest-lasting cars, too.

In addition to the hybrid and standard Toyota Camry, the marque dominated iSeeCars’ list with 10 of the top 20 longest-lasting vehicles. For instance, the Toyota Sequoia and Land Cruiser topped the chart with 296,509 and 280,236 miles, respectively. Also, the Avalon earned the number one spot for longest-lasting sedans, with 245,710 miles of potential lifespan.

What is the lifespan of a Toyota Hybrid car?

The hybrid Toyota Camry has an average potential lifespan of around 230,547 miles. While that figure earns the hybrid model the bottom 20th spot in the iSeeCars study, it’s still impressive. For instance, the Toyota Camry Hybrid scored third place in the hybrids segment, just behind the Toyota Highlander Hybrid.

Moreover, the Toyota Prius earned the top spot on the hybrids list with around 250,601 miles of potential lifespan. As a result, Toyota snagged all three top spots in the hybrid longevity category.

Is a Toyota Camry a reliable car?

The Toyota Camry and its hybrid model are synonymous with quality and affordability. The Camry’s longevity is apparent from its position in iSeeCars’ lifespan study. However, the Camry is also reliable. For instance, RepairPal gave the latest Camry a 4.0 out of 5.0 for reliability. That puts the Toyota sedan ahead of industry standards for reliability. In fact, RepairPal gives the Camry sedan the number three spot in its list of 24 mainstream midsize cars in terms of reliability.

That’s good news for fans of the standard Camry. Moreover, the hybrid version of the Toyota sedan gets similar reliability accolades.

Is the Toyota Camry Hybrid reliable?

Like the standard Camry, the Toyota Camry Hybrid is a reliable option among hybrid sedans. For instance, Consumer Reports gives the 2022 hybrid model top reliability scores based on factors like paint, electronics, engines, and more. That means the hybrid Camry, even with a more complicated drivetrain, is a reliable option for car shoppers. Moreover, each vehicle in iSeeCars’ study is still going strong; some Camrys might see 300,000 or more miles.

Of course, the Camry isn’t the only car on iSeeCars’ list of the longest-lasting vehicles. In addition to the Avalon, Camry, and Camry Hybrid, the Honda Accord, Fit, and Civic snag sports in the top 10 sedans and hatchbacks segment. Do you love the Toyota Camry and its hybrid cousin?
