How much is a 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale?

The 2023 Alfa Romeo price will likely start somewhere around $38,000, according to Car and Driver. Motor1 says that they have it on good authority that the 2023 Tonale price range will go up to the low $50,000s. That’s not bad for the second SUV from the luxury auto maker Alfa Romeo. In fact, it’s a little bit cheaper than the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the first SUV in the lineup.

Some of the best features in the new 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale include its independent front and rear suspension that have adaptive dampers. These have two settings: Comfort and Sport. The Tonale also comes with a 10.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. The Tonale has engine start and stop and you can get over-the-air updates. The 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale runs the Uconnect 5 infotainment system from Stellantis, which works with Amazon Alexa and Alfa Connect.

The Tonale also has safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and automatic emergency braking. It also has Traffic Jam Assist, which helps to control the vehicle while on the highway.

Is the Tonale electric?

The 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale comes standard with a hybrid powertrain. It’s a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and the first hybrid vehicle from Alfa Romeo. This is a turbocharged 1.3-liter inline-four cylinder engine that makes 180 hp on the front wheels and puts 121 hp to the rear wheels with an electric motor. Altogether, the Tonale sends 272 hp to the four wheels with the help of a 15.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. This is matched to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Tonale gets 30 miles of range and takes 2.5 hours to charge with a level 2 charger. There are also three driving modes to choose from: Natural, Advanced Efficiency, and Dyanimc.

In addition, it will have a standard fuel-powered powertrain. This is a 2.0-liter inline-four cylinder engine that puts out 256 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. This is matched to a 9-speed automatic transmission and comes with all-wheel drive.

When can I buy an Alfa Romeo Tonale?

You should be able to get a 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale in the beginning of 2023. You may be able to order one near the end of 2022, and you’ll have three trim levels to choose from. These are the Spring, Ti, and Veloce. Further details about what each trim level will include are forthcoming.

The official release of the 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale will come nearly four years after its concept was released. Thanks to some design updates and the ongoing chip shortage, its debut was delayed until now. Yet from everything we can see so far, it looks like the Tonale will be worth waiting for. More information should be coming, and we’ll keep you posted as we learn more about this upscale hybrid SUV.
