According to Nissan USA, the Ariya has nine models to choose from. The base one is the most affordable version, which is the Engage starts at $43,190. But, the top-tier version is the Platinum+ e-4orce all-wheel drive. It starts at $61,485 MSRP, but you can add plenty of features and equipment to the model, which will drive the cost even higher.

The first option to add is the paint color. While there is a handful to choose from, the most expensive ones are the two-tone Sunrise Copper Pearl/Black Diamond Pearl and the two-tone Everest White Pearl/Black Diamond Pearl, both of which are priced at $695. You can also add a set of 19-inch gloss black aluminum alloy wheels to the model as well. This will increase the price by $1,900.

Next up in the build is body protection to help safeguard your investment. First, you can add a clear rear bumper protector for $75. You can also add a clear hood protector with a charging port guard set for $130. Lastly, there’s a four-piece set of splash guards for $275. The Ariya’s styling lines are good, but Nissan lets you add to the look with side-window deflectors for $340.

For adventures off-road, you can add a line of Yakima products to make the Nissan Ariya even more useful. The set includes a cargo basket, a load warrior basket, a surfboard carrier, a roof cargo box, a ski rack, a Kayak carrier, an upright bike rack, and a fork-mounted bike carrier. The price for all of the Yakima items comes to $2,692. To top off the off-roading package, you can opt for the 10×10 tent for $360.

For towing, you can add a tow hitch receiver kit with a 4-pin harness for $665, along with Class I or Class II hitch balls for $48. If you’d like some added security measures, Nissan offers exterior ground lighting, which will cost you an extra $750. The last exterior feature to opt for is wheel locks which will cost you $70.

What interior features can you add to the Nissan Ariya?

For the interior, Nissan offers weather protection features, such as door scuff protectors, carpeted mats, and all-season floor mats for $535. As for technology, you can opt for a camera drive recorder, a way to access door locks and ignition through a virtual type key, a tablet holder, and a cable set for USB charging. All components will add $1,025 to the price.

For the cabin, there’s interior accent lighting, a cargo scuff plate with lighting, and kick plates with lighting for a total price of $1,240. Regarding storage, you can get a removable tote for the cargo area and a front console bin for more storage. These will add $245 to the price of the vehicle.

If you have a pet, the Nissan Ariya lets you opt for a pet divider to keep them safe, while you can add an impact sensor to keep you safe. This adds $590 to the sticker price. Some accessories you can add to your model are an emergency road kit, a seat belt extender, an ash cup, and a bin for your trash. All pieces together will cost you $197.

What is the total price of the vehicle, and is it worth paying that much?

If you add all the features that Nissan offers for the Ariya, the total cost for a fully loaded model will come with a price tag of $73,742. This also includes a $1,295 destination fee. Is it worth paying that much for it? Well, considering the model offers a five-passenger layout, an electric powertrain with 1-speed direct drive transmission, and the ability to get a 265-mile driving range from the 91 kWh battery, we’d say it’s worth it.

Of course, that’s not all you get standard on the Platinum+ e4orce AWD trim. According to Edmund’s, you also get 22.8 cubic feet of storage behind the rear seats, premium leather seating, 8-way power driver and passenger seats, cooled and heated front seats, level 3 self-driving, driver attention alert system, stability, and traction control, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring with lane-departure warning.

The Platinum+ e-4orce AWD model is the most expensive trim the Nissan Ariya offers, which is just over $60,000 to start. By adding every possible available feature for the model, you will add around $13,000 more to the price tag. For what you get, the price is definitely worth it.
