The 2023 Honda CR-V brings a lot to the table in terms of being a new SUV. It has a fresh look, easy ride, and there’s now a hybrid option for those looking for more efficiency. And undoubtedly, the CR-V Hybrid will likely become a popular vehicle for those who want to save at the pump. But how much should you expect to pay for a 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid SUV?

How much will the CR-V Hybrid cost?

In terms of pricing, the base CR-V Hybrid SUV will likely start around $30k. And that will make it fairly competitive against other hybrid SUVs. The expected trims for the hybrid model include the Sport Hybrid and the Sport Touring Hybrid. The CR-V Hybrid Sport has an MSRP of $33,695, and it comes standard with front-wheel drive.

When it comes to efficiency, the EPA estimates 43 mpg in the city. And that beats out the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, which is this SUV’s closest rival. If you want to step up to the Sport Touring model, that will cost closer to $40k. But, it does come standard with all-wheel drive, which might be worth it to some.

Is the 2023 Honda CR-V a hybrid SUV?

While the CR-V does not come standard with a hybrid powertrain, it is an option. The hybrid models come with a 2.0-liter engine that is complimented by two electric motors. This results in a power output of 204 horsepower. That might not make this SUV super powerful, but it should be enough for most needs. Especially with the AWD system.

Another perk of this SUV is how many safety features are made standard. If you want a family SUV, safety is an important aspect. Each 2023 Honda CR-V comes standard with safety tech, including:

  • Forward-Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Lane-Keep Assist with Lane-Departure Warning
  • Adaptive Cruiser Control

According to Car and Driver, more safety features are there if you want them. But you will have to pay more in order to get them. If you’re coming out of an older SUV, you are likely to enjoy the commitment Honda has made to safety.

Can you buy a Honda hybrid SUV?

If you are interested in Honda’s new hybrid SUV, you might have to wait. Honda has stated that this model is expected to arrive this month. But, it is not quite here yet. Once it does arrive, it could be difficult to find one. The current automotive market is fairly limited due to supply constraints.

Manufacturers, including Honda, are having difficulty getting new models to dealerships. Also worth noting is the fact that Honda’s warranty coverage is nothing to write home about. The limited and powertrain warranties are on par with rivals, but it would be nice to see some better coverage.

At the end of the day, the CR-V Hybrid will likely be a successful hybrid SUV. Especially because the 2023 CR-V is a completely new vehicle. It looks pretty rugged, and its interior appears nicer. Both of which should set it up to be a win for Honda.
