Chevy Tahoe LS: price, specs, and features

If you are looking for a solid SUV experience at a bargain price, look no further, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe base model has you covered. The base model of the 2023 Tahoe is the LS trim, which starts at about $56,095 for the rear-wheel drive model, and $59,095 for the four-wheel drive model.

Under the hood, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe LS comes standard with a 5.3L V8 engine, which produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with variable valve timing and an aluminum block, making this one of the most technologically advanced modern mass-market V8s on the market today.

For those customers who would like a diesel engine, the 2023 Tahoe does offer an optional 3.0L Duramax turbo diesel engine, which produces 277 horsepower. Both of these engines come equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Even though the LS trim is the base model, many features in the interior make this base model SUV feel like a high-end model. The 2023 Tahoe LS comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist, which includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane keep assist, and more.

The 2023 Tahoe LS also comes equipped with Premium Smooth Ride suspension, which, according to Chevrolet, isolates road noise from the interior cabin. With tri-zone climate control, 120-volt power outlets, HD rearview camera, and an 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe LS is one of the better-equipped base model SUVs on the market today.

A fully loaded 2023 Chevy Tahoe High Country: price, specs, and features

The 2023 Chevy Tahoe High Country is one of the most luxurious SUV offerings from Chevy and is the highest trim level available for the 2023 model year. The 2023 High Country Tahoe starts at about $74,795 for the rear-wheel drive model and $77,795 for the four-wheel drive model.

The powertrain options found on the High Country model are quite different from the base LS model, with the 3.0L Duramax turbo diesel engine option coming in as the cheapest available powertrain.

You will not find the smaller 5.3L V8 engine found in the LS Tahoe here, instead, the High Country comes equipped with a 6.2L V8 engine which produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. These powertrains are paired with the same 10-speed automatic transmission found with the LS model.

The 2023 Tahoe High Country comes equipped with Chevy Safety Assist with some upgraded features, including rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision which gives you a 360 view of your surroundings, a rear camera mirror, and even a rear camera mirror washer.

Behind the wheel, drivers will be satisfied to see that their High Country comes standard with a heads-up display that projects information on the windshield while driving and an upgraded 10.2-inch infotainment screen. This Tahoe model also comes with adaptive air ride suspension, which senses obstacles on the road and makes adjustments to the suspension on the fly, giving you the smoothest ride.

Something for everyone

If the 2023 Chevy Tahoe High Country premium trim is a little too pricy for your budget and the LS base model leaves a lot to be desired, there are plenty of other 2023 Chevy Tahoe models to choose from.

The LT trim adds wireless smartphone integration, a 10.2-inch touchscreen, and a power liftgate to the LS model. The RST model takes everything found on the LT model and adds some flair with glass black wheels and black accents throughout.

The Z71 model adds performance skid plates and recovery hooks for those drivers looking to offroad their Tahoe. Finally, the Premier model has just about every feature found on the High Country model, but without a heads-up display and surround view camera.

With so many models to choose from, there truly is a 2023 Tahoe for everyone, so get out there and find the perfect model for you!
