How much does the 2022 Volvo XC90 cost?

The 2022 Volvo XC90 price starts at $49,900 for the base model T5. That’s far from how high it can get, though. Get the XC90 with everything in it and the price can easily get over $70,000. The 2022 Volvo XC90 Inscription price starts at $70,100. The Inscription- like all other XC90 models except for the T5 – comes with all-wheel drive. Kelley Blue Book points out that all XC90 models also come with a $1,095 destination fee. 

Seven seats come standard in the 2022 Volvo XC90. If you want six seats – meaning second row captain’s chairs – you’ll have to pay an additional $500. You’ll also pay to get a specialty color like Pebble Grey, Pine Grey, or Birch Light- $695, to be exact.

What do you get in a fully loaded Volvo XC90?

If you opt for the 2022 Volvo XC90 Inscription, you’ll get an adaptive air suspension that will make you and your family feel like you’re floating. The Volvo XC90 also has “incredibly comfortable in all trims, and you can add a massaging function to the front seats with the Lounge Package in the T6 and Recharge models.” In addition, the seats “are some of the nicest, most comfortable seats in the competitive midsize luxury SUV segment.”

What will it cost you fully loaded?

Let’s say you get absolutely everything possible in your 2022 Volvo XC90 – what would that include, and how much would it cost you? It’s possible to make your luxury SUV even more luxe, but you’ll pay for it. For example, add on 21-inch 10-spoke turbine tinted silver diamond-cut wheels, and you’ll pay an additional $3,985. Running boards will add $2,275. Your total cost would be $72,150.

Then there are packages. The Lounge package has Nappa leather power seats and costs $1,700. A $750 Climate package makes your Volvo cabin more comfortable. An Advanced package costs $1,750 and includes “optimized comfort for an in-car lounge experience.” And finally, the Protection Package Premier adds $735 to your total cost and protects your SUV.

Other optional accessories include Park Assist Pilot, a 4-Corner Air Suspension, and Polestar Performance. This brings your total cost to $83,580 – and that’s before you’ve included any add-ons.

Altogether, the 2022 Volvo XC90 is an attractive three-row luxury SUV. With its comfortable seats and high-end interior, it’s the kind of SUV that will make you feel like you’re in a private jet. For those with the budget to do so, adding in all of the packages and exterior and interior features will allow you to not only customize the XC90 exactly how you wnat, but to also have a truly luxurious experience every time you drive.
