The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a super stylish electric SUV that’s built on Hyundai’s dedicated electric vehicle platform. It offers a lot in a relatively small package, and it’s priced accordingly. How much does the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 cost?

The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 price starts at $45,245 for the base model SE. It’s not an entry-level price but you’re not getting an entry-level SUV. The Ioniq 5 comes with two different battery packs, the basic a 58-kWh battery pack that powers one motor to the rear wheels. This gets 168 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque in the base model SE, though higher trim levels get 225 hp.

There’s also a 77.4-kWh battery pack. and the option for either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive with the addition of an extra motor. The all-wheel drive version of the Ioniq 5 makes 320 hp and 446 lb-ft of torque.

Even the base model Ioniq 5 comes with a suite of standard safety features like forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitor with rear-cross traffic alert, blind-spot intervention, and a lane-keeping system.

The Ioniq 5 has just okay range

Edmunds says that the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 got 277 miles on a fully charged battery. It points out that that isn’t a spectacular range, especially compared to some other electric SUVs like the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-e, which gets up to 304 miles on a single charge.

The Ioniq 5 SE comes with DC fast-charging capability, keyless entry and push-button start, and a digital instrument panel. There’s also a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seat, and a navigation system. The Ioniq 5 also has a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker sound system, and compatibility with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are also five USB ports.

The Ioniq 5 Limited is the most expensive

The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited the most expensive trim level. Its price starts at $52,345 and it comes with a panoramic sunroof, driver’s seat memory settings, and ventilated front seats. The Ioniq 5 Limited also has a sliding center console, a two-way charging system, and an eight-speaker sound system.

In addition, the Limited comes with an automated parking system, 360-degree camera, and blind-spot camera. It also has rear automatic braking and a head-up display. The Limited can include options like a special paint color, all-wheel drive, and cargo accessories. Altogether, this fully loaded 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 price comes to $58,475.

The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 price may not be entry-level, but you get a lot for your money. One thing you don’t get is a ton of range, but you might not mind that with everything else that comes in the Ioniq 5.
