Ford has been producing the Ranger since 1983, and the vehicle has achieved quite a bit of notoriety since that time. For example, U.S. News and World Report recently rated it #2 among compact pickup trucks. According to Ford, the 2019 Ranger also has “best in class torque” and is the “most fuel-efficient gas-powered midsize pickup in America.” If you’re considering a Ford Ranger, you may be wondering how much one of these trucks will cost. We’ll have a look at some of the trim models and their selling prices below.
Starting at $24,300, the Ranger XL can be leased for as little as $299 per month. Standard features include an audio input jack, locking glovebox, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, and 2.3″ productivity screen. The Ranger XL will seat four or five people and has a fuel economy rating of 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.
It comes with an optional STX appearance package that includes 17″ silver-painted aluminum wheels, fog lamps, premium 4-way cloth seats, box decal, and carbon black bumpers. With FordPass Connect, you can remain connected at all times, as this technology will allow your Ranger to become its own hotspot.
This trim model starts at $28,120 and can be leased for as little as $343 per month. With the XLT, you can take advantage of Ford’s Sync® 3 voice-activated technology, which will allow you to sync your smartphone and navigate the Ranger with ease. Co-Pilot360™ technology is also standard on the XLT and includes features such as Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Keeping System, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear-View Camera, and Automatic High-Beam Headlights.
The Ford Ranger XLT comes with a 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine that will provide you with 21 mpg in city traffic or 26 mpg on the highway. It has an electronic, 10-speed transmission with towing mode, along with trailer sway control to make towing a breeze.
Ford Ranger Lariat
The Lariat is the Ranger’s top trim model and comes with enhanced technology, entertainment, interior, and exterior features. The base price for this model starts at $32,390, and it can be leased for as little as $392 per month. With the Ford Lariat 4×4, you’ll also enjoy an enhanced appearance, as this model has a chrome grille, LED headlamps, daytime running lamps, and a frame-mounted steel front bumper. You also have your choice between 17-inch chrome-like or aluminum-painted wheels, and 18-inch machined aluminum wheels.
The Lariat also comes with a few safety features that aren’t available on the XL or XLT such as AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control (RSC), Curve Control, and an SOS Post-Crash Alert System. As with other Ranger trim models, the Lariat is also its own hotspot but will provide you with 911 Assist whereas the other models will not. It is the only Ford Ranger model with a SiriusXM satellite radio as a standard feature. Normal cabs come with six audio speakers, but the SuperCrew version offers 10 speakers.
The Lariat may have a few additional features, but you won’t have to sacrifice fuel economy to enjoy them. This model offers the same 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway as both the XL and XLT.
